The Beatles 2009 remastered boxsets

I've been listening to both the stereo and mono CDs since they came out a few weeks ago and wanted to see what you guys thought of them.

It wasn't until these came out that I started giving some thought to whether I liked the mono or stereo mixes more and I still can't decide. I've been going back and forth listening to various tracks in mono and stereo and I like them all!

I know I'm going to get burned at the stake for saying this but with the exception of the earlier albums I really can't tell much of a difference in quality between the 1987 releases and the 2009 remasters.

both the mono and stereo have their own unique appeal and both are quite excellent(well at least the mono versions of songs that came remastered with the stereo box set.) Also, some songs are very obvious with the improved sound others not so much imo, can you universally not hear anything or just with some songs?

Most of the songs you'll hear the difference with are their older material. Their newer stuff was recorded using 8-tracks and newer techniques - thus, the difference won't be as apparent.

Get them on record for the true experience.

I haven't heard the remasters yet but I hear they're excellent.

The earlier stuff is definitely improved, I just wish there was an easy answer for the stereo vs. mono debate but sadly it's all opinion.

iono I got Let it Be and think it's amazing. But then my last copy was a record, and while that does have nostalgia, I can't deny the fact it feels like they're singing in the car with me, with the new versions.
