The 8800GT is compatible with a PCI slot as well. It's also compatible with AGP slots too....Yeah, and yet mine actually fits into a PCI slot. I guess those pretty pictures must've been wrong.
Well, it's a Halo forum...
He ripped out the audio I/O, wow wtf, I can't even see how that would block a graphics card from being installed unless it has like a massive backwards heatsink.
Well he was installing it back to front.
Jesus H. Christ.
I call bullshit, nobody who knows what PCI, AGP, PCI-E, PSU's, CPU's, and so on are, is stupid enough to actually put a PCI-E card into a PCI slot backwards. Jesus Fuck. Let alone rip components off the motherboard with pliers..
Alright, I take back the "fake" thing, I found this: Why can't computer parts be pratical- Modacity Forums
Oh well, it was quite hilarious at least. I got a kick out of the one guy near the bottom:
...Did you even read beyond the first paragraph of my god damn post?
LIKE I FUCKING SAID, they are
ELECTRICALLY INCOMPATIBLE.
As in,
ELECTRICALLY INCOMPATIBLE.
Repeat after me:
ELECTRICALLY INCOMPATIBLE.
Once again:
ELECTRICALLY INCOMPATIBLE.
I was about to quote that, lol Still, that kid is a complete dumbass. People like him are the reason I stopped helping people with PCs a loooooong time ago.
How did ..that MB not explode? lol I would've expected horrible, horrible things to happen ..
I just want to know the result (as well as the look on his face) when he tried to turn is PC lobotomy project on. There is so much stupid in what he did I don't even know where to start.
installing it backwards? lmfao wtf, I was just looking at the pictures.
If you cannot spend the time to figure out how to do something properly then maybe you should spend the extra money to have someone else do it for you.
Seriously? Because if you can't do something properly the next best thing is to just rip it off.I had to rip off the metal casings around it first before I got a hold on it. Afterwards I realized I had to unscrew the whole mobo if I really wanted to do that, so I ended up spending just 20 minutes of my morning ripping it off.
Ok guys I need to put my PC together, who brought the crowbar and superglue?
