Well I played WoW because a lot of my friends were playing it, when they stopped, I lost interest. Now a lot of those people are going to be playing Aion so I will play that at least for a while.

That's reasonable, but some of the praise I have seen for it just doesn't match reality at all. It's like the pretty graphics and wings and fairy stuff melts their brains.

I do a lot of reading, very fascinated by the different cultures of various gaming boards and communities.

Alla has some anti BG stuff going on with BG supporters backlashing them and correcting their sensationalist quotes about our reactions to it. AH has more people posting links to new bots though and more people celebrating it. All sites show a similar apathy to it as far as it doing any damage. There are some cross posters on the boards too but I haven't felt up to posting about it elsewhere yet.

LOL so they are talking about how great it is that a bot site got shut down, but in the same post showing people where other bot sites are now that app is down.

If SE were determined to eradicate botting by suing anyone writing third party tools, whether they were free or not would not be an issue.

I believe this is for show/a warning, and they are preparing something else. I hope I'm wrong cause the Hagun ENM was a nice moneymaker duo'd.

nasa was the only bot doing harm I would say to FFXI, As anyone can tell you it many big LS's had coded their own "nasa" as SE did not make it that hard to do. In the end this wont change much. Maybe it will however help endgame for many servers as they seem to have gave up after the also this nasa talk started. This could jump start some people who stayed away because of that.

It's still there, but I'm gonna be holding off on slightly illegitimate stuff until at least the november update, just in case SE are planning something.

If they are collecting data, 2 characters entering an ENM, popping the exact right mob every time every 5 days without fail is a giant red flag.

Eh, I could see that. I might hold off on soloing, duo is still easy to do. rdm+monk, sam whatever even pulling up a pet or two is easy.

Are you kidding me? Lol. The amount of people who use "NASA" for botting kings is a small percentage of each server. I'm willing to bet App was used for more then botting out #'s NASA. The fish bot market will be the most interesting.
