Because you never know for sure who's botting? It helps to know so you can avoid recruiting slimeballs. At least, that's what I'd use it for.

Using a bot makes someone a slimeball? I suppose you are entitled to have that opinion, but when you play for 5+ years standing around watching others kill, what did you really accomplish?

I'm not on the server, but a char named claim... classic. I really don't understand why SE is so "Have to know without a shadow of a doubt they bot,etc" when it comes to shit like that.

A toon comes to camps to claim only, or 3 chars on birds running in circles outside. Really, just nut the fuck up.

Claim isn't a botting mule. It's a person with D.ring+Yochi. They probably just transferred and had to change name and went with that for comedic purposes if I had to guess.

Yeah, watching Magitek claim something was actually nice to see. But was even better to see was them getting it to 53% with no problems then claiming darters and wiping completely. It wasn't mpk, it was a fight for claim. Sucks that Crest ended up with it having only like 3 people there and having to hold it forever while waiting on everyone else to get there. When we found out about App shutting down I said myself that it would make for more epic Faf/Nids, and I was right. So atleast there's some entertainment to come out of it.

I've accomplished quite a bit and I've never touched one or been in a linkshell that used them, but thanks. I'm sure no one cares to hear my (archaic) opinion on botting, but I'll just say that I think that botting is immature and lazy. Paying for a bot is just fucking retarded. It's no different than spending money on a modded controller or whatever for some FPS game. It earns you no respect and is actually quite sad.

I've accomplished quite a bit and I've never touched one or been in a linkshell that used them, but thanks. I'm sure no one cares to hear my (archaic) opinion on botting, but I'll just say that I think that botting is immature and lazy. Paying for a bot is just fucking retarded. It's no different than spending money on a modded controller or whatever for some FPS game. It earns you no respect and is actually quite sad.

While I respect your opinion on being legit, and you having morals about being true and just, you get nowhere in this game if you can't claim stuff. If you only do Dynamis/Limbus/Sky/Sea/NMs nobody camps, then yeah, you can accomplish a lot. Things like Sandworm and Dark Ixion require no bot, but it's a hell of a lot easier with one. Things like Khimaira and Cerberus require no bot, but if you have someone who is lagging and supposed to stun Gates of Hades or Fulmination, a bot is nice to have.

Some players don't need bots to stun stuff, but a lot do, more than you probably think actually. If you yourself have killed Cerberus or Khimaira, then most likely someone you think doesn't have a bot and is perfect at stunning every time, actually has a bot....

I cannot though, understand how it's immature, lazy I can understand, but immature is far from any word you could call it. Honestly, it's rude to say it's immature because immaturity has nothing to do with botting. If anything, it's competent people who see the flaws of the game who do bot, and use a bot to compensate for the faulty structuring of the game.

If you've never camped Fafnir, Behemoth, or Adamantoise, go stand in their zone during their window and see how much you like standing there 3 hours a day for something or nothing.

NASA was meant to be a support type of thing. Shells that were built on it, or around it, are the ones most likely to die.

See: 5/10 NASA LS are going to be SoL. For a while at least.

Only competent people bot to make up for their WEAKNESS of not being able to hit a stun macro? Botting is cheating plain and simple. If you gotta cheat cause you suck then fine. Ruin the game for everyone. It's been fucked up for years. Players wont quit making it worse and SE wont' fix it. Then the same botters go off on a tirade in gear posts and gimp picture threads about how so many players don't have full sets of heca/adaman/etc...I love it.
