If you buy gill you really don't care lol, it's easy to point them out, people with seemigly endless gill but they have no crafts and you hardly to never see them farm..almost all the players i'v watched just buy everything they want follow this same trait. there ARE legit players that can make alot like heavy crafters or ENMs but they are small.

I dunno, but I never LOL'd so hard after reading the FFXI-apps, i mean mmo-apps, forums...People are really upset that they have to work again and actually play the game to achieve stuff...OMG!! What are they ever going to do?

Most will buy wizbot or w/e it is. Most endgame ls that want to dominate a server will get one of the two packet bots left, but basically you need to know someone in the loop.

While I respect your opinion on being legit, and you having morals about being true and just, you get nowhere in this game if you can't claim stuff. If you only do Dynamis/Limbus/Sky/Sea/NMs nobody camps, then yeah, you can accomplish a lot. Things like Sandworm and Dark Ixion require no bot, but it's a hell of a lot easier with one. Things like Khimaira and Cerberus require no bot, but if you have someone who is lagging and supposed to stun Gates of Hades or Fulmination, a bot is nice to have.

Some players don't need bots to stun stuff, but a lot do, more than you probably think actually. If you yourself have killed Cerberus or Khimaira, then most likely someone you think doesn't have a bot and is perfect at stunning every time, actually has a bot....

I cannot though, understand how it's immature, lazy I can understand, but immature is far from any word you could call it. Honestly, it's rude to say it's immature because immaturity has nothing to do with botting. If anything, it's competent people who see the flaws of the game who do bot, and use a bot to compensate for the faulty structuring of the game.

If you've never camped Fafnir, Behemoth, or Adamantoise, go stand in their zone during their window and see how much you like standing there 3 hours a day for something or nothing.

As for the whole botting thing, it kinda sucks. I was just getting used to all of app's features, and now it's being taken away. Hopefully the developer of Wizbot will add a Ja0Wait function, as many people have suggested.

Oh, and they will probably attack windower users when XIV is about to come out.

Yeah, watching Magitek claim something was actually nice to see. But was even better to see was them getting it to 53% with no problems then claiming darters and wiping completely. It wasn't mpk, it was a fight for claim. Sucks that Crest ended up with it having only like 3 people there and having to hold it forever while waiting on everyone else to get there. When we found out about App shutting down I said myself that it would make for more epic Faf/Nids, and I was right. So atleast there's some entertainment to come out of it.

Actually we wiped because Symbiosis diaga'd them. We had them slept just fine down to about 30%

Funny but my LS doesn't actually use any bots at all for SW/Ixion, and has had a virtual monopoly on it since December >.>. It's a lot of work but it's well worth it.

App with death spot scanning probably has something to do with it, while it can be done without we used both scanners and apps

Some of us use body scan sometimes, but w/ the # of ppl wanting to scan it's barely used / unnecessary and requires extra work. I was just saying how botting/apps matter more on the other HNM's than these two. Was NOT trying to pop my e-collar over something trivial

And wow I never knew people actually PAID for BOT's!! I am on Bismarck with Kotomi, and yea you can never claim any of the Black Belt droping HNM's ever lol some of these people seem to just shit gil and I am so poor I cant even pay attention...

(on a side note if your a LS on Bis I wanna burn my seals on ks99's I have 1300+. you kill the bcnm and I only want the BB items you guys can have the rest)

Mix and match is the way to go. Mules in zones with dead body and a rng to claim works.

No idea why this thread still persists. I'm 99.99% sure the Japanese player base had their own bots. Also like it has been said before, some linkshells even have their own custom made bots.

Nothing is more amusing to see random JP LSes randomly appear out of the woodwork and claim shit they cannot even kill.
