This thread:
Non-botters: LOL @ botters
Botters: BOTTING IS NOT DEAD!
Non-botters: Yeah, but LOL @ botters.
Botters: ZOMG UR SO STUPID! BOTTING IS NOT DEAD!
Non-botters: Ummm, yeah, but LOL @ botters... still funny!
Botters: THIS IS WHY BOTTERS HATE YOU! IT'S HARD TO STUN CERBY! BOTTING IS NOT DEAD!
Non-botter: LOL @ botters.
Repeat ad infinitum. Just a word of advice for those that are still spending the money your parents are sending you while you are in college on bots: screaming at the people laughing at you just makes them laugh at you more.![]()
you're playing a monthly fee'd video game and telling people they're throwing away their money? this logic is always flawed. entertainment is entertainment, $20 for a bot is nothing in comparison to paying 5 years of $13-15 a month.
@whims I posted that it was probably all a front on page 2 or 3, everyone ignored me![]()
Wait, are you Jamchan/Tainted? Because if so it's pretty funny that you think you have any right to say anything, considering you and your boyfriend stole their linkshell bank and Dynamis currency and bounced to another server. :D
P.S. I was long gone when Ingwe got back into the shell.
As far as I know (and I was the leader) Resurgence had no botters at all. A mule showed up on the App list but that account had been given to someone else so the App wasn't being used anymore. That's all I can think of. No one else ever mentioned botting at all to me or any of my officers, so if there were botters they kept it hidden pretty well. They also never claimed anything, since it took us about 4 months to even get our first Fafnir!
Hmmm I guess Nimbusyosh was more popular than I had previously imagined.
All I can say is nasa being banned is great for the bank accounts. The only people who buy the bot is usually a linkshell with anywhere from 12 to unlimited. Most packet bots go unlimited. Atleast the two left don't get sold from under you lol
I also realized that this means SE probably won't fix 21+ hour spawns now.
I'm not saying I want stuff handed to me, but camping up to 3+ hours for a mob was a horrible idea on SE's part.
Oh man this s great. To be honest, all this thread needs a real_nigga's perspective.
That's actually got nothing at all to do with the majority of what's being said, but if it makes you feel better about contributing nothing worthwhile, feel free. The super self-righteous nonbotters (read: not all of them) are laughing it up like this is some super magical amazing action, but the straight truth is that serving one person with a cease and desist does not do much but delay those who would cheat from using these programs. It's only a matter of time before more of the same comes up because SE is once again treating the symptom instead of the sickness, and holy shit only 5 years late in doing so! Open your eyes: this did jack shit to combat other sources of similar actions and does nothing to prevent more of the same in the future.
Did some people lose a whole $20? Oh holy christ, they certainly did. I would be willing to bet that $20 is not something only kiddies with their parents' credit cards and college students can afford, however. That stereotype is a bit stale.
But it was never their intent for people to just sit down for three hours and camp. They didn't think we'd figure out the spawn patterns, just that linkshells would go down to DA every once in a while and find that Fafnir was up and then kill it.
They underestimated the playerbase on that one, but they didn't exactly plan for people to sit in DA for 3 hours. Which then includes why they didn't plan for bots to be made.
Wow this thread is still alive. Botters will keep botting, the ones who can't write their own stuff will just have to find someone who will or buy it somewhere else, nothing to see here.
(I don't care about botting, I might have in 2004, though.)
