Even if they attack windower, people can still use it. It doesn't need a server or anything of the sort to function like FFXIAPP or NASA.
When SE updates and it breaks though.. That's another story.

Also gonna go on record here and predict that nobody will be banned as a result from this. No login info or password info was needed whatsoever to register FFXIAPP. Technically, if you were willing to spend the $20.00 you could open an account under any character you wanted to on any server, with or without their consent.
SE can't ban on something like that as they've shown in the past (the inability to ban all but the stupidest of gilbuyers)
If I'm wrong, oh well, but I'm not worried.
if app was even taken down for legal reasons.. I don't see why everyone believes it so easily.
If they stopped windower they would lose most of the small player base they still have left.
Pay to use programs will most likely all be hit if SE is going to get serious about it.
Heartily lol'd.
AppRadar isn't being killed, is it?
I wonder if Onevent & AV has anything to do with this? Lol.
It depends. In most cases it could be considered breach of privacy, but I believe if it's decided that those business transactions were illegal in the first place then SE can actually force him to give them his client list so that they themselves can take legal action. But that all depends on how far SE is willing to push this: is he getting sued or did he merely get served a cease and desist?
What other reason would there be? Afaik he makes a ton of money off of it. Legal action by SE seems most likely.
Unless this is all a ploy to re-release the same bot in a few months but needing people to pay again because the character data was lost or something. That seems a bit too paranoid imo.
how long before someone shows up at fuzz's house and demands their money back
Still don't understand why everyone buys this lol, FFXI is losing members because of 14/lack of content, there's no denying that. This seems like a pretty easy way for maury to bow out.
After all this time I personally doubt SE decided to push legal matters now. I doubt SE had it taken down until I see proof of some sort.
Not really the upkeep/development of the forums/bot might have become too costly/time consuming for the amount of profit he was now earning off of a dying game. Keep in mind how many new players at 75 do you see each week? Most people that have app bought it long ago, it's not a monthly charged thing.
