It's consistent with SE's way of doing things to threaten legal action against bot sellers at this late date.

1: Community bitches about a problem that needs to be changed/fixed/even paid attention to.

2: Community bitches more/writes open letters and forum posts/asks SE during fan events what they're doing about said problem, for ~3 years give or take.

3: SE finally decides to do what needed to be done about it ~3 years ago, but by the time they do it no one really gives a fuck anymore.

I will say this was enjoyable. But botting will find a way, it always does.

The problem is all advertised bots will all be shut down within a short time. Apps was just the largest one and the first to fall. Give it less than 2 months and the only bots around will be stuff like Arenz and JP bots which are not advertised.
