At the moment I run F-secure Internet Security 2010, and recently I had about 3 attempts within 2-4 minutes of one another, where someone did what was called a "Fin scan" .

I looked it up and found out it is essentially someone attempting to scan my Ports to see which ones are open to intrusion and also to see what kind of security I run apparently. F-secure only reported and blocked 3 attempts, 2 of which seemed to come from the same remote address.

My question, now, is to our computer guys of BG, who know more about this kind of stuff.

-Is it entirely possible that this fin scan found an open port despite my Firewall's ability to block the 3 it reported?

-Will the person who ran this port scan try to dick around with my PC again, despite what may have been his/her 3 attempts?

-Is there a way to beef up my protection on my ports to prevent them from being vulnerable?
