Vana'diel Collection will not load on 360 - how do I uninstall?

I think my 360's disc reading ability is giving out, but it only seems to affect FFXI. I installed the game just fine, but now when I put the disc in it says it's unreadable. Which is bullshit, as I returned it once already just to be sure, and it's a brand new disc. So now I want to uninstall FFXI. They fixed the system cache error, so now the only way to remove those files is to go into Playonline to uninstall. ... Which is great if you can get to POL. What am I supposed to do?

This always happens with FFXI on 360. I would just keep an image of the disk copied to the hard drive. It wastes hard drive space, but it fixes the problem. Use the WotG disk if you have it, because it takes up the least space.

8 gigs for FFXI. 6 gigs of Rock Band music. 20 gig hard drive. T_T

EDIT: Is the solution seriously something like "delete gigs of music to install the game so you can uninstall it"?

I think you're having the same update-related issue I had, for which the only solution is to reformat your hard drive. I lost all of my save games and then realized that my 360 FFXI account was linked to a second gamertag I'd never used for anything else, which I can't recover for some reason.

Mine started doing this at one point and the only way to fix it was, as said, save it to the hard drive. It kinda sucks, because I don't even know if I could give the thing away at this point.

It isn't letting me install to the hard drive. I'm going to try and take it to a friend's 360 just in case. or get a memory card so I can keep my saves. goddamn. T_T
