Allowing people to make a baseless claim that others are trolls will always be more destructive to discussion and debate than actual trolls.

I do not speak of people who call people trolls then continue to discuss and debate within the very same post. They are harmless and silly.

Spam trolls are so easy to catch. Anyone who doesn't follow the twisted logic of the FFXI fanbase is a candidate.

There are innumerable posters who "come from" boards other than spam that shit up discussions. Yes, it's complete bullshit that people who frequent both spam and other boards immediately get called trolls.. when they're not trolling. It's a bit of a Boy Who Cried Troll, in a weird way, since I don't believe spamfolks would get screamed at about trolling if it hadn't happened a few times. Which it has.

BRP, I do concur with what you pointed out. That kind of post does absolutely nothing positive. The issue on my part comes in with the levels of interpretation; if I removed/infracted everything I "felt" was inappropriate, I'd quickly (and rightly) be called out on abuse of power. So unfortunately, in taking a more 'rules as written' approach, some shit will fly that otherwise would not. Also I wouldn't be able to ever take pee breaks from moving/deleting shit.

The subject of 'trolling' in and of itself is so subjective it's ridiculous.

I hope this doesn't come off as defensive, I'm actually interested in hearing how people take the posted example, since I don't like it, but don't know that it necessarily violates a posted rule, thus leaving it in a rather grey area for me.
