BRP, I do concur with what you pointed out. That kind of post does absolutely nothing positive. The issue on my part comes in with the levels of interpretation; if I removed/infracted everything I "felt" was inappropriate, I'd quickly (and rightly) be called out on abuse of power. So unfortunately, in taking a more 'rules as written' approach, some shit will fly that otherwise would not. Also I wouldn't be able to ever take pee breaks from moving/deleting shit.

The subject of 'trolling' in and of itself is so subjective it's ridiculous.

I hope this doesn't come off as defensive, I'm actually interested in hearing how people take the posted example, since I don't like it, but don't know that it necessarily violates a posted rule, thus leaving it in a rather grey area for me.

While I do think regular spam posters doing what would be considered legitimate trolling in non-spam sections, especially General/Advanced happens fairly often, I have yet to see any instance of it happening in any thread that had any business existing in the first place. They just took shit threads and gave them a smidgen of redeeming value with a comedy factor, the thread was still shit afterward, but if it was shit to begin with who cares.
