    PSU and Graphics card help.

    http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e228/Takunsan/1.jpg

Built this computer 2 years ago, looking to upgrade a little.

I want a new graphics card, and adding 4 more gigs of ram.
    few questions

    What's a good graphics card @_@ I'm looking for 2x, i'm currently running 1 Nvidia Geforce 8800.

Also, I think I need a new PSU, so can anyone recommend one to run 2 high-end graphics card?

about the 4 gigs of ram, should I get the same ones I got originally? I guess what i'm trying to ask is if its bad to mix RAM.

EDIT: inb4 fish, i was going to ask you, but you were asleep.

I traded up from an 8800gts to a sapphire HD4870. The difference was quite noticeble, I cranked all my games to max with out a hitch (Fallout 3, WoW, TF2, Aion beta) It also dropped in price considerably since I bought it in Dec of last year, was 225$ now you can find it under 140$. If your willing to spend grab 2x 4890 and a corsair 600+ watt PSU and your banging.

How much do you want to spend? That'll pretty much determine what stuff you should get. Also the motherboard only supports SLI so ATI is out if you want to get 2 cards. $300 is 2x gtx260s, the 285 isn't worth the money imo, and if you want 2x 275, you might as well get the single gtx295 for $500. The gtx 295 is basically 2 275 chips on a single board.

According to this benchmark though, the new ATI 5870 beats the 295 in some games while it costs $130 less. You won't be able to crossfire them on that motherboard. There's a newer version coming out in a month or two that'll contain 2x 5870 chips on a single board, like the gtx295.

but yeah, just depends how much you want to spend, and for a PSU, anything from a good brand over 600w is fine, corsair, thermaltake, ocz. If you wait a month or two and get an evga or bfg nvidia card, they have a 90/100 day trade-in program where you can trade the card in down the line for an upgrade coupon, you'll only pay the difference in cost for a new card. If you buy it after a month or so, by the time it nears 90 days, the new nvidia 300 series cards should be coming out, but not sure when, they say Q1 2010.

If you really want, you can just trade with my gtx260 or buy it from me for cheap for $100 or w/e; I'm not really using it or plan to anymore. Use it for a few months, buy a 2nd gtx260 until the 300s come out and then trade in.
