Beta Sign Up - Star Wars: The Old Republic

I created an account, clicked no on the beta testing, activated my account and then signed up for the beta. I got stuck in the loop about six times before I stopped trying, came back about half an hour later and it worked the first time.

Looped through about 7 times, no luck at all.. Stopped for a few minutes to do something else, went back and now it says my email is already in use. I'm still unable to login and have not received the confirmation email.

This is fucking ridiculous. I keep looping back to the sign up for account/beta page. I have an account, I confirmed it through email, but I can't sign up for the beta. EA/Bioware needs to get their shit together.

Scan refuses to start on IE8. I really hope FFXIV Beta signups don't go as bad. -_-;

Edit1: lol now when I try to actually sign up for Beta it says that my account is not authorized to view that page. I also got an email saying that my information has been updated on the site but I don't recall changing anything...

Edit2: After multiple attempts and 11 emails about updated account information it finally went through. These dudes need to get their shit together.

having same problem. scanner is just sitting there for about 20mins now. reinstalled java this morning and even allowed it through noscript.

edit: worked in IE8 /mutter
edit2: nope, it came up with the spec sheet and then i can't confirm it and can only hit ESC and it goes away and have to rescan. never updates the "incomplete" on my account page...

Just skip the beta part and register for the web site. When you get home, log in and check the "Account" section. You will find under registration info, a checklist of beta progress you did/didn't sign up for.

And for those who are trying to get the test to work in IE. Reinstalled java myself but it likes to hang at the end of the test in IE with no confirmation. IE tab plugin or Firefox both got to the end of the test for me.

Confirmation email just takes long but you will have to of gotten that far in the registration process and not stuck in the loop. I think they did this to thicken the skin of their beta crowd lol.

finally managed to get my app in late last night after several series of looping. Account page said i had completed the 2 steps that were listed so i guess im good. Never got an email about beta sign up but i did get 13 copies of the same email saying my account was successfully updated >.>

Really hope this website isn't a sign of things to come.

Are you disabling Java or something? It worked fine for me on FF 3.
