Ya once i saw a SS like that i had to move the darn map lol.
Mine looks somewhat like yours I mess around with it a lot. when i grind I dont even have the combat chat on the screen. Also keep myself in guild chat/say/ chat.
I change it depending on what I am doing a lot of the time.
Only dif i see is that I have my party on the right(much like FFXI to use to that set up), then agian I never have to many quests open like you do so lol
How do you get the Cntrl + xxxx quickbar?
in your options say you show the other quickbars
Not really a UI mod, but the other day I was looking through my Key Mapping to try and optimize my settings and saw that Shift+F12 removes graphic textures of all non-PT members. The game still shows the PC's name and legion, title, etc, depending on your settings.
While this isn't awesome, I sometimes play on my laptop and this reduced a ton of lag when I tried it out. I ran through Sanctum with little to no lag. So if you use a laptop, that might help you out greatly depending on your machine. Shift+~ also removes chat boxes that appear over a person's head when they speak. Sadly, it doesn't remove private store messages.
You aren't the only one who prefers it.
I absolutely love the bottom and hate the top. Having to look allll around my monitor just to look at my HP to my radar is absolutely retarded.
PVP Radar is in the window on the right with all my other combat spam; pretty obvious to see when PVP is going on.
Spoiler: show
Oh no, our weeaboo conversations are exposed!
The reason I like the top UI is because it is, if you ask me to clustered. It splits it sorta in two and is great. I have my chat window(main one) split much like FFXI's so it fits me better like that.
I am really hoping for some type of mod to the UI where your chat box gets a background. The game has been out in Asia for what, over a year now and they still haven't put up a background...makes me think they aren't going to or even considering it. So I hope you folks who are crafty with modding UI get to work on that sooner than later.
you probably won't see any ui mod as long as ncsoft isn't officially supporting it by releasing an sdk. or someone is really desperate and alters some actuall game files, which would be considered as a hack (see ffxi .dat exchanges).
I think a .dat file mod for text background would be nice if nothing else. What does NCSoft have against UI mod though? Hardly cheating, but I guess it's their game, they should run it how they want.
