The clothes were actually on because i'd fallen asleep in the sun the day before and my legs/abdomen were BRIGHT FKING OMG RED. I was really white before I went to the beach and was not so diligent in my sunscreen application either... so in an effort to minimize the exacerbation of said problem, i covered up. My arms were underneath the umbrella when i fell asleep, so they were fine. OW OW OW just thinking about that sunburn hurts, made me sick

Well I wasn't really prepared tbh, the sun in that part of Italy was really fuckin harsh, and even though I had SPF 1bajillion on it still burned me, so I admittedly got careless in putting it on (since to me it wasn't doing a fucking thing anyway...) but we'd stayed out late the night before and gotten up early to lay on the beach... and I just zonked out under my umbrella. As the sun moved while I was asleep, more of me was no longer underneath the umbrella and since I was sleeping I just didn't notice.

I had blisters, too, and that evening i had to sleep under like 80 blankets because I was fucking FREEZING cold and it actually made me nauseated because it was so painful. I didn't eat that night. I'm probably lucky I didn't get sun poisoning. My KNEES were especially red, oh god

If you are the person in the kite pic, I thought the arms looked sunburn but I was not certain. I don't know why people suggest Noxema either because ouch.

How the hell do you get a kite that big in the air also? Looks like a hang gliding parachute and I thought it was some one standing beneath a hang glider pretending to have thrown it.

no -- you need a lot of wind, but it has two strings, one on each end, and idk you just hold it up and when it catches you let it go, and the person with the strings pulls back to keep it up
