FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF DON'T TELL ME YET I CAN'T PLAY TIL THE AFTERNOON
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF DON'T TELL ME YET I CAN'T PLAY TIL THE AFTERNOON
also if you have some sort of capture thingy post a screenshot :3
it's the same demo as they showed at E3, so you can just look up DS2 screenshots and you'll probably see the same stuff
Do you have a UK PSN or something? Demo wasn't up for me when I checked at lunch. Got Ignition while I was there, though.
got it on XBL, which updates at 9AM (demos and DLC tuesday, XBLA games wednesday I think). Pretty sure the PSN update doesn't happen until later this afternoon
Oh damn lol, forgot this game wasn't a PS3 exclusive
oxymoron, I know
Holy Shit this was fucking greatness and it was only a demo. At first I thought EA was trolling me by having the same room like 5 times in a row. Then I got to the meat of it. Any fears (no pun intended?) I had about the game being more action oriented were laid to rest. Game is still creepy as fuck, they just throw more shit at you constantly, never known when to expect it. There were a couple times where I almost ran out of ammo. Speaking of ammo, the alt fire for some of the weapons is absolutely sick.
I AM EXCITE.
On another note, I found it a bit weird to have to log into my EA account to play the freakin demo. Is that really needed? It's only a demo FFS. I guess all EA games are gonna be like this from now on? Kind of annoying. Do you have to enter it? I saw no other choice. Anyway, whatevs, shit was crazy fun.
Yeah this was pretty awesome. Minor glitch bugged me a bit(well big glitch, but minor in that I expect they'll easily have it fixed for the retail version) where drops from baddies would land offmap and disappeare, but the gameplay is great and it's still scary as all fuck. Can't wait for next month.
Pretty much dead space 1, except that during zero gravity you can fly and the plasma rifle's alt fire probably doesn't suck (i didn't use it, but it sounded more useful).
It uses a big chunk of ammo(25 rounds I think?) and if you're too close to where it impacts it'll knock you down, though I don't think it damages you.
edit: I can't speak as to the actual damage, the only times I used it were on accident when trying to stomp a corpse next to a wall lol
so is extraction coming in both editions or just collector's?
Should be included with both, but I think you may need a PSMove to play it.

Dead Space save file unlocks original plasma cutter in Dead Space 2
Here's a nice bonus for fans of the original Dead Space. If you have any save file -- completed or not -- from the first title, you'll unlock the original plasma cutter right off the bat for use in the upcoming sequel. Hardcore players should be more than familiar with the gun, thanks to an Achievement that forces players to complete an entire playthrough using only that gun.
But don't expect the plasma cutter to give you much of an advantage at the beginning of the Dead Space 2 campaign. Although you'll get access to the gun, Visceral Games' Louis Gascoigne told us that the upgrades you purchased for the weapon won't carry over into the sequel. Isaac Clarke just can't get a break, can he?
Can the 25th come faster please?
Holy fuck that was awesome. Need Dead Space 2 now!!!

A bit actiony, but it's a pretty good trailer.
eh I thought it was a terrible trailer.
on another note: does anyone actually put their real birthdate in when videos ask for it, or do you just click the year and scroll down to a random year? They might as well just as if you're over 18. Or not bother at all, because I doubt that has ever deterred anyone.
