Safe to assume the 'limited edition' run of PS3 copies will last quite a few months? I got too much shit to catch up on, and not ready to devote time to DS2 yet, especially when I still need to finish my Insane run on DS1. >.>

I'll probably be going all out on DS2 and also nabbing Ignition for the story and bonus goods.
(even if Ignition is just minigames, it's only $5)

after that certain point, i was glad i had a bunch of stasis packs that i didnt sell for nodes, i spammed it like crazy and ran to the end, stopping only to pick up ammo crates n things, on my zealot playthrough now

also, all those weapons are more than enough to get through ch 15, i went through the entire game with just the line gun and plasma cutter, stasis everything, seriously. over and over and over

Plasma Cutter should get you by just fine. I pretty much only used Plasma Cutter, Pulse Rifle, Seeker Rifle, and Line Gun my first playthrough.

Is Zealot noticeably harder yet? I wanted to do another Normal playthrough or two first to max some stuff out before I messed with the harder modes.

im up to ch 12 now in zealot and i dont know what to tell you. i did my first playthrough on survivalist, using my favorite weapons

on zealot ive intentionally used the newer weapons exclusively so i always used more ammo/ missed alot. so theres that

ill probably only try hardcore when im able to go through zealot without dying.

I just watched Dead Space: Downfall because I was going to watch :Aftermath, but I'm afraid to now because Downfall had such bad animation, voice acting, and dialog.
The conversation that made me laugh the most was
person 1 : He's going to kill us all!

Limited editions were pre-order only. Some gamestops might have gotten like 1 extra in their shipment or it's always possible that someone doesn't pick theirs up. But I wouldn't count of a limited edition for ps3 being in abundance.

fwiw the collector's edition is still the limited edition game, just with extra shit in the box. The game in the box itself says 'Limited Edition' on it.

For all I know, I'm under the assumption Dead Space 2 is like Dante's Inferno, where all the 'standard' versions of the games are marked as Limited Edition, just because of some PS3-exclusive stuff tossed in.

Only thing I don't know if how big that first shipment was and how long I can bide my time until I nab me a copy, as I want Extraction with it.

If it wasn't just a second application contained on the same disc I'd just give you mine and softmod g/f's Wii so I could use a motion controller for it without buying a Move

I prefer it to be on the disc. I'm strapped for HD space (and bandwidth) as is, so having it stream from that is preferred, unlike a particular other game I bought last month which had me download 4.4gb of DLC that *could* have been included on the damned disc instead.

the collector's edition (the one with the gun) is most likely pre-order only, since they only make so many guns and usually don't make a 2nd batch. Do you get the Zealot armor/force gun with the regular editions?

I really wish they'd start doing limited editions in metal boxes again, I miss that so much

I've yet to own a tin-case where the disc(s) weren't an absolute bitch to get out. As cool as they look, I'd rather maintain the integrity of my games. @.@

the FF12 collectors is pretty easy to get out, iirc

has anyone run into this bug in DS2 yet? I went to check the shop and it looks like a suit I owned previously (the Security Suit) didn't go into my safe when I purchased the Vintage Suit. Instead, it put the suit back in the shop so if I want to wear it again I have to re-buy it for 18k. What gives

Mine is in both my safe and the store, so was the refurb plasma cutter for a bit, but when I went to buy it again it said I already owned it. Double-check your safe, it may still be poking around in there.

The limited edition for the PS3 should be rather limited, so it might be hard for you to find and double hard since you're from Canadar. You might be lucky and walk into a best buy or something a month or so down the road and snagging them, but very doubtful at Gamestop. The collectors is very limted as should be expected. The Ser Isac suits however will only be in the first few batches, if you were looking forward to that. Extraction is up on the PSN store now if you cant land a LE.

okay callisto, i beat zealot mode and i can definitely say it was harder

despite having my previous upgrades to use through the game again, it was still just as fucking hard, took about 3 hours less though, so during the beginning of the game the upgrades you keep are noticeable, after that certain point its just as hard, and most of the time harder
