that was my problem in zealot as well, i picked up the flamethrower and the game just threw ammo at it for me, so i played till the first shop using just that, hoping to burn it up (lol) and save ammo on pulse/seeker, at the very next shop/bench i said fuck you, de-noded the pulse rifle, sold the flamethrower, bought my line gun, upgraded it, and bought as much ammo for it as i could, and hauled ass through the game

yea, I can't tell if the final boss was just really easy, or if the contact beam just made it that way.

Come to think of it, I didn't feel like DS2 had really epic boss fights like the first game. Granted I am really glad the ADS cannon didn't make a return (although it wasn't that bad for the 2nd ADS cannon segment vs the boss) but stuff like the really huge boss in food storage would have been cool to have again.

So I just hit disc 2 on my first play through, on chapter 7 now I think. Is there an achievement for playing through the entire game without using any weapon other than the plasma cutter like there was for the first game? Playing through on zealot. So far I haven't used or purchased any other weapons other than the plasma cutter.

Aww that sucks. Well I am so far already I wonder if I can one gun the game on zealot. Maybe I will just do it anyway and then use the rest of the guns on the next play through.

Nah, it's pretty easy if you have any guns maxed up. I always did Line Gun mine to open it up then zoomed Seeker Rifle to hit the core, I usually never held on to Contact Beam ammo.

And yeah DS2 seemed like more of the waves upon waves of shit rather than single big enemies, later chapters had some pretty rough stuff

The two ringed rooms with the Brute at the bottom was pretty challenging before I figured out that you could just run for your fucking life all the way to the bottom lol

and granted Chapter 15 doesn't present much challenge after your first playthrough, but it was intense as fuck both the first time through and for my hardcore playthrough.

no giant bosses makes sense though. Not too much time had passed since the outbreak started, so nothing really had much time to grow really big.

Sorry for the necro but has anyone tried using Dr. Pepper codes for the custom RIGs they offer? If so are the stats any different than the normal Security RIG?
