As for Fisher, his flails are just retarded. Not sure how you can possibly defend him, if his shot is challenged he swings his arms wildly right after release. It's disgraceful.

It's been the entire damn series, and it's been much more than that.

It's especially been driving me nuts how rebounds have decided the series and the Lakers get away with going over the back and reaching in sooooo much.

You can't honestly believe that a perceived lack of competent refereeing is what is deciding the games. The Celtics won tonight because their big 3 finally showed up to play basketball, not because of their patented Moving Screen. The Lakers lost because 4/5 of their starters fucking mailed it in.

So far more people are bellyaching that the Lakers didn't get more called on them than Lakers fans crying that calls don't go their way more often. The shit going down on the court is a natural function of these teams being decades-old rivals in the finals. Saying shit like 'if the lakers win the refs handed it to them' is some pretty neanderthal sports mentality.

i didn't see a single post by a laker fan complaining about the calls during or right after the game, while kisada and others were throwing a fit about calls throughout

there were bad calls both ways yes, but i think it was pretty clear that the celtics were getting hammered more than the lakers were tonight. i would think that most laker fans wouldn't mention bad calls because they benefited the lakers far more than they did the celts. there were at least a few really egregious calls that really helped the lakers out.

Maybe, except everyone here loves to point out how Lakers fans always blame the refs when they lose, while what happened tonight showed the exact opposite.

Case in point: when you were wailing at how bad the calls were being called throughout the game, it was the Lakers who were behind the whole time.

Who knew the amount of fan complaints reflects the side the refs were tipping their calls? Ready for my floodgate of spams in game 6.

Yeah, the fact that no lakers fans are complaining, particularly the guy that's done it repeatedly in this thread, pretty well says it all.

Gasol returning to his soft ways, such a shame.

Also callin' it; if LA loses the series to Boston in LA, riots are breaking out.

I hear the Refs are guaranteeing a game 7!

If the Lakers lose, who needs to GTFO? Artest? Bynum? Odom?

I think Bynum needs to leave, especially with his ongoing problems like his injuries. Artest seems like a good fit in that team, and Odom sometimes has his bad games but he's still a big part of this team. They can get by without Bynum.

i'd have to disagree. if i'm the lakers i'm keeping bynum at all costs: once kobe's gone they're gonna need to rely on bynum to be the star of the show.

it's part of why i really thought the lakers made a huge mistake in signing artest over ariza, because ariza and bynum were their future. artest makes way too many dumb mistakes, can't shoot, and he's gonna get worse from this point on. part of why the c's defense looks like a maze is because pierce gets to hedge and cheat off of artest, who is not making shots.

plus, bynum could have avoided what's going on now and been back in time if he opted for surgery earlier in the playoffs, so i don't think it's a case of being injury prone. it was more bad judgment.

i think it was pretty obvious to anyone watching the series so far, but looks like it's confirmed! ray allen is the biggest whiner. sheed/kobe/pau are easy whiner picks too.

"He found that the Celtics complain more -- after about 48 percent of calls -- led by Ray Allen with an amazing 73 percent whine rate. Kendrick Perkins, Rasheed Wallace and Rajon Rondo are all high on the list, too. For the Lakers, Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol lead the team. "

also from the WSJ report itself:

"We looked at every foul in the series that wasn't intentional, tracked the observable reactions and gave extra weight to the more blatant complaints. The Lakers expressed displeasure about 36% of the time, even though Kobe Bryant disputed half of his while Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce only bickered about one-third of theirs."
