You are correct! I do hate Kobe Bryant! I thought that had been apparent for some time now. The difference between Kobe and Tony Allen(and every other player in the NBA that whines about calls) is that Kobe bitches and acts incredulous every time, whether the call is questionable or not, when he already gets all of the superstar benefit-of-the-doubt calls(note that Kobe isn't the only superstar that does this). You see Tony Allen clearing out with an elbow(I missed that) and acting up(I didn't know wtf he was doing, I thought he was injured) and I see Kobe freaking out like a 6 year old when someone tries to take the ball from him. You can't possibly be that blind to your own player to not notice or disapprove of any of his antics.

LA's been pretty lucky in almost always having a superstar to coalesce around either through doing whatever necessary to acquire one, or getting super lucky with draft picks. West, Baylor, Wilt, Kareem, Magic...

I can't really stand LeBron because of it. I also disagree with your second statement. Kobe gets more attention for it because his image is much worse in general than LeBron/Howard/DWade. He's also in the postseason often so that adds a lot of visibility. Personally(inb4 hater) I think Kobe is more demonstrative than those other guys- his freakout as Tony Allen tried to wrestle the ball from him was absurd.

maybe they won't become clipper fans, but a ton of "laker fans" disappear in bad times. LA is a maddeningly blase sports town. if the lakers aren't winning, quite a few fans just go on as if basketball doesn't even exist.

almost all my friends/relatives are laker fans and i can count on one hand who is really die hard. it's part of why i can't stand most fans, because sooooooo many just show up for the "status" of being affiliated with a winner.

the number of people that come to games late, text on their phones for a couple quarters, then leave early is incredible.
