Sheed has a great post game, problem is he never utilizes it. Your view of the Lakers seems pretty spot-on to me, sound like they could use some Zaza Pachulia.

not reading all that cuz i lack reading comprehension
but clearly you've just come out of some time capsule from 5 years ago, so i'll let you pass on your opinion on sheed
his shots from tonight's games:
V. Hawks
FGM:5-15
3PM:1-8
FTM:0-0
2 shots from painted area
oh, and i watched that game, both assisted/wide open layups
good night
edit:
actually i got bored and glanced it over...
dude, are you friggin kidding me?
lakers defense has nothing to do with soft or tough, i don't know whether you get your sports opinion spoon fed by talk radio or just come up with it along with the other stuff while doing your no.2s, but lakers lose because of PERIMETER SHOTS and PICK-N-ROLL, due to their LACK OF EFFORT to go after outside shooters and LACK OF COMMUNICATION on their rotation, you don't BULLY or get TOUGH with layups, because [breaking news] that's how you get in foul trouble!
even though i no longer live in L.A. i try to catch as many of their games as I can, and unfortunately i caught all 8 of their losses so far, ALL of them were lost to wide open 18 footers and running layups off PnRs (and of course, referee bias >.>)
please, if you wanna give opinion, WATCH the game, or USE YOUR HEAD
jeez, now i'm mad, friggin bandwagoners
cue camron pic
edit2: didn't mean to say that all their losses were due to defensive problems, because while those are problems, I've said it before but their losses were mainly due to their sluggish execution of their offense and Kobe reverting back to his 05~06 self, so ya
nice, wall'o'text of my own, go me
shrug
if you just don't want to hear about one of the few flaws about your team or are too disinterested in hearing a non-hating, non-laker fanboy opinion of your team then it's ok, do what you feel. i get you. reading is hard for me too sometimes, especially when it's about stuff that is criticizing my favorite team.
but you did pretty much pick out something i never said and tried to pin it on me and all i did was mention that you misread what i was saying. i don't see any reason to shirk it off childishly. all teams, no matter how good they are, have their weaknesses. it doesn't make you a bad fan to not defend them for something they clearly have an issue with.
the thing is, i saw a lot of unabashed, relentless shit-talking from laker haters in this thread so i figured you or whoever else were laker fans wouldn't have minded hearing something that was far more rational than all the typical hating that goes on.
i dunno, i guess i just got all these crazy thoughts in my head. they make a lot of sense to me, maybe not so much sense to biased sports fans.
you said lakers are soft, i said they have many problems, but they aren't soft
wow, reading is so hard
edit: oh ya, you also said sheed had a post game
can't believe one LOL is good for two nights, thanks again!
So the guy who outplayed Dwight Howard in the Finals is soft? does that make Dwight a ballerina?
thank you blazers for another awesome win! i personally had the pleasure of meeting broy today as i got to shadow a friend of mine who does the highlight packages and replays for the blazers broadcast! today was awesome! and shit... broy wanted a pair of my kicks! (Cons skate chucks Red) pfff broy be sweatin me!
You realize there is a difference between finesse and power?
Thank god for Jamison:
I love how the top 4 probable championship candidate all lost in one night
wonder if david stern is already starting to sweat finals ratings this year xD
Just because Gasol outplayed Howard doesn't make him tougher.
Well yes toughness and strength usually go hand in hand, especially when we are talking about ridiculous strength like Howard and Shaq. The Finals were long enough ago that I really don't remember Howard and Gasol going 1 on 1 in the post. Through most of the playoffs Howard shooting hook shots was more of his own problem rather than being forced into it. I'm not hating on Gasol, he is an extremely skilled big, but he can be soft at times.
Edit: Saw the Jamison speech earlier, I'm a fan now. Class act.
Review the games, the Lakers defense against Howard started with Gasol preventing Howard from backing into the paint.
And how can you be soft at times exactly, by your definition toughness is strength so sometimes he decides to eat his spinach sometimes he doesn't?
If anything from time to time he lacks effort, which is a flaw all NBA players have.
Going to sleep.
Did you really watch the games? The Lakers doubled howard the entire series and the Magic couldn't hit an open 3 to save their lives. The entire Laker gameplan was to double Howard and force the Magic to beat them from the outside. You're an idiot if you'd really say that Gasol stopped Howard on his own.
For people who missed the Cavs/Nuggets game last night, you missed a good game, I was sad Lawson didnt play tho ;/
Interesting you quoted the first few words of the sentence but decided not to quote the rest of the sentence, if you did you would see why your a moron.
And the majority of the double teams the Lakers brought on Howard were soft double teams due to the 3-point threat of the supporting cast. Gasol's ability to force Howard to catch the ball away from the basket and prevent Howard from backing into good post position was the biggest reason Howard was pretty much ineffective.
