fucking lol
fucking lol
yeah because sports don't all have different emphasis on certain abilities.
And what your saying your more qualified to make a decision of who is athletic in the NBA than people who have dedicated their entire lives to basketball? who are you? what are your qualifications?
The ego.
If you don't think the label "athletic" is given in the NBA based partially on jumping ability, the "fucking lol" is on you.
Steve Nash compared to you and me: athletic. Steve Nash compared to players in the NBA: normal athleticism, maybe a little below average.
Nolan Ryan compared to you and me, and other MLB players: freakish athlete. Nolan Ryan in the NBA: I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wouldn't be crossing people up and blocking shots, even if he was the appropriate height and had a basketball background.
There are people who dedicated their entire lives to basketball who work the front office of the Timberwolves.
Your argument is invalid.
If you're athletic, you're athletic. If you can go pro in two sports, you're athletic. If you control one of the most up-tempo offenses in the NBA, you're athletic.
I don't get what is with all the rage about Steve Nash being bottom tier athletically. If dude was black he'd just be an average player.
If you can control one of the most up-tempo offenses in the league you're extremely well conditioned.
This the NBA thread. We use NBA terminology. Everything is in the context of playing basketball in the NBA. An NBA scout would not tell you that one of Steve Nash's strengths is his athleticism. Leaping ability is extremely important in basketball(not sure why I'm having to explain this...), and therefore it has more weight. The problem is you are trying to force your narrow definition of athleticism onto NBA players.
How does being a good player make you unathletic
Being unathletic makes you unathletic. I'll just start saying athletically challenged instead.
So, we've leanred that Nash is a two time MVP because he's white. Clearly the NBA has racial bias when handing out MVPs.
This is hilarious, let's keep this rolling.
If he gets a really good tan, do we just consider him above average instead of great?
Just stop, you look like a dumbass.
