Alright, so I won't be at work. Even though these series are boring with the amount of fouls, poor play, etc.

I think Game 6 will be different though. LeBron should be playing really hard down 3-2, and the Celtics know how important it is they close out the series at home.

Unless he doesn't want to be a Cavalier next year, and I honestly think he wants to play in somewhere like NY. Just sayin.

That's why I said "should" - it is entirely possible Thursday's game goes like tonight. I'm just giving LeBron the benefit of the doubt.

Idk, he very well could/I think will end up somewhere else, but the motherfucker definitely wants to win and brings it pretty much every night. .

No I'm just saying that with the Cav's knocked out he's definitely skipping town.

Yeah I can't see him staying if they lose this series. Really I don't think he'll stay unless they win it all, and even then who knows.

How is it not about money for Lebron? Cleveland has done a lot to try to keep him there, like grabbing Jamison and Mo Williams (I don't really think Shaq is that much) -- what will he have in New York that's soooo much better than what he has in Cleveland? I think I missed something

Jamison is old, Mo Williams is getting exposed on defense and isn't that great to begin with. I'm not in Lebron's head, but he might prefer being remembered as the guy that made the Knicks contenders again. If Cleveland had grabbed Amare instead and they won it all then he might have more reason to stay, but looking at that roster right now, there aren't a lot of core pieces in place.

I was in NYC a few weeks back walking around Madison Sq Garden and saw a massive Nike ad with a stone faced Lebron staring at you. I have said for a while now and still believe he will go to New York next year.

    a. its never not about the money, and he will make a lot more as an icon in NYC than in cleveland.

    b. the allure of NYC just as a place to be a star in compared to cleveland isnt even a an argument. You can say that the expectations to win in new york would far outweigh those in cleveland, because its new york and all, but legacy is definitely one of Lebrons priorities as well. This Cleveland team is the best he has had and they still don't look like champions. It will be hard to get a whole lot better than whats he got now. May as well take a shot in a better location than continue to beat the dead horse that the Cavs seem to be.

Cavs should have got Amare, they wouldn't be down 3-2 if they did. I like Antawn but he was a start on a shitty team. Amare would have been devastating on the Cavs. Only thing that could keep Bron in Cleveland is his feeling loyalty to them, but this is business.

Hes going to be a Knick.

Edit: Moss beat me to it.

Seeing Amare dominate for the Suns and Antawn just being another guy on the Cavs kinda makes you wonder. I can't remember the best offer the Suns turned down from the Cavs, but you have to think even overpaying for him would have been worth it. Hindsight is 20/20, etc.

I was talking with a friend during the game and he pointed one downside of the Cavs losing to the Celtics: when it happens, the speculation about where Lebron is going next year will overshadow whatever is going to happen the rest of the playoffs.

AND LOOK! IT'S ALREADY HAPPENING IN THIS THREAD! OMG!!

Mainly because the playoffs have really been shitty so far. 3 sweeps doesn't leave much else to talk about at this point. Hoping for good conference finals though =/

The Magic are on fire. Even if LeBron pulls the Cav's through the Celtics I don't know if they can stop the Magic. Same with the Celts... I want a Boston vs. LA finals rematch but I honestly don't think the Celts can clear the Magic.

I'm not expecting Suns v. Lakers to be very competitive. Even if the Suns are on a roll, the Lakers are getting hot too and they already beat the Suns near the end of the season when the Suns were 27-3

The thing about Jamison is the guy can't play defense and his scoring has been super inconsistent since joining the Cavs. Shaq is old and slow and has become a defensive liability himself other than getting random blocks. Same w/ Ilgauskis. Mo Williams isn't even close to being in the same class as a guy like Rondo. I still like Varejao and I don't understand why he's only averaging 20 minutes a game... yet another reason why Mike Brown is the most overrated coach in the NBA.

I was always kind of confused as to how people were comparing Jamison to Stoudemire as if they were on the same level. Jamison is ok, but Stoudemire is a fucking beast. Wasn't one of the reasons the Cavs didn't trade for Amare was because the Suns wanted JJ Hickson in any kind of trade and they were unwilling to unload their young talent? (that they aren't even giving minutes to in the playoffs lol).

Oh and Mike Brown is not a good coach, I can't take anyone seriously who thinks he is.
