ATL fires Mike Woodson, hires Brown.
Antawn Jamison's remaining contract:
2010/11- $13,358,905
2011/12- $15,076,715
Antawn Jamison's line last night, from the biggest game in franchise history:
2-10 FG, 5 points, 5 boards, 1 free throw, 0 assists
He did, however, contribute tremendous character and veteran leadership.
I hated Mike Woodsons sorry ass anyway. He had a talented team but let them run around like a random bunch of niggas at the Y of some shit. Good riddance, hopefully now the Hawks will go back to the cellar dwellers that they are.
Pretty much, but he was able to rein in Josh Smith this year, and we improved every year he coached. The problem was his offensive system is terribad, and the team kind of outgrew him. Losing Joe Johnson won't be a big deal unless we overpay someone shitty to take his place. The Hawks won't be cellar dwellin' as long as we have Crawford, J-Smoove, Horford.
It's a good thing you got Brown coming in then.
I really wish you hadn't been so quick to mention that scenario, because that would fucking suck and it sounds extremely likely...
You forgot to mention Marvin Williams. As for Crawford he's good at his role, but his game doesn't match his hype. He was the same way when he was at Michigan, he reminds me of a run and gun, light it version of Victor Page of Georgetown fame. It's a reason hes been on 5 different teams iirc, he was drafted and traded the next day or w/e.
I like him coming off the bench as a change of pace, but he gets more hype than he actually deserves. Might as well sign Trajan Langdon or Trevor Ruffin if you want someone to score and give your bench unwarranted hype. He's decent, dont get me wrong but some of these fools talk like he's on JR Rider's level or some shit.
i think eddy curry comes off the books in 2011.
I think I am a bit more realistic concerning Crawford - he is better suited as a 6th man.
The optimistic Hawks fan in me has yet to completely give up on Marvin Williams! As I have said before, I think a good pass-first PG would do wonders for this team(dream scenario: Chris Paul), with the amount of guys we have that can finish around the basket(Horford, Smith, Williams).
If we bring Josh Childress back it will have an added bonus of taking pressure off Zaza because he will no longer be the ugliest player on the team.
haha, got me good fucker
Brown's out, that didn't take long.
really good breakdown of the suns offensive gameplan if you're an x's and o's nerd like me
