Everything's working as intended.
I have three separate charges on my card.
26.90 for the two accounts I currently have.
12.95 not sure what this is for.
and then 80.90 for god only knows what.
So I got charged roughly $120 this month when I was expecting just $26. My bank account was cleaned out.
I just reactivated the second account after it went unused for several months. It doesn't have any of the mini-expansions on it. It also does not have a token.
I have no idea where the 80 dollars came from though. After I get out of class I'm going to call. Hopefully they don't close for the day before then.
I hope this is a mistake. Else, I'm going to stop the payment through my bank regardless of the consequences. I'm not paying $120 for a game.
Edit: I just got out of a chat with a POL rep, and it would seem that someone got a hold of my credit card information. They opened up 16 different characters across multiple accounts under my billing information.
The rep said that they would refund me the $80.90 tomorrow and close out that account. I'm going to let them process my regular account fees and then cancel my credit card for a new one.
I have no idea how they got my billing information. Thankfully I caught this in time. I just have to call back tomorrow to get the money refunded since they are still billing today.
Oh and I did do that credit card securecode nonsense.
This month was ok, last double-charge was about two years ago. (They reversed it before I could call and bitch.)

Been double billed a bunch of times, not sure about this month, I haven't checked yet. I quit caring, it's SE, you can't win. Not wasting my breath. >_>
I've had it go as far as being billed double six times in a row before it finally worked itself out. It's nothing new, and apparently entirely random.
Last month it was bad. I was charged four times for "A Moogle Kupo d'Etat". Contacted them and they apologized left and right and informed me that a large percentage of German players that use the ELV option to pay were double/triple/quadruple charged for that month.
Got my money refunded after I sent in an email with my bank info etc. Was still a pain though.
just out of curiousity, because i'm a credit card/debit card noob...
i'm at college now and am going to use a debit card to pay for ffxi, is there any way for them to send the bill to my college so i can record it? do they even send out a bill? if they don't send a bill is there a place where i could view the charge? its the first time i'm doing this so any helpful feedback would be appreciated. thank you!

Here's a situation for you.
I own 2 accounts, both w/o mules so it's straight charge of 12.95 for each. I cancel 1 account on Sept 30th., in hopes I won't get charged for October. Reason being cause I know my 2nd account has been double billed previously, but the fee didn't carry over for Sept and SE rep told me I would get charged in October. Knowing my pre-paid CC has a limited moneys on it, I try to cover my ass and temp-cancel my 1st account so there's enough money to cover my 2nd account Oct and Sept fees.
Guess what happens... SE charges me for 1st account. Effectively using up funds which were intended for 2nd account. Suspending 2nd account and charging me $9.99 overdue fees and now I'm on the phone trying to sort this fucking mess out.
Worst. Billing. System. Ever.
So, I called back today. Apparently there was an account I paid for about a year ago or some shit. I never took my credit card off of it, and it got hacked last month. I don't know from where...I haven't logged into it in over a year. The information isn't even saved on my computer.
SE can't refund me because it's not my account to do a character recovery on, but I kind of blame myself for not taking the card off the account.
Off-topic: I have to say that the POL Billing Department's customer service is much better than their game/whatever else support. The people are really really helpful. Calling for getting accounts unbanned during that bullshit "ban for no reason" phase, or calling for anything else has been like sodomizing myself with a battery acid coated baseball bat laced with barbed wire. The billing department just asked for my credit card number and they were able to pull up everything they needed.
So an account you had deactivated/canceled/deleted got activated and hacked?
I've deactivated/reactivated a few times to avoid fees for the upcoming month and never had to reenter any CC info.
Also, I've had one experience with pol billing about 3 years ago. They were like Izzy said, very very helpful and had everything resolved quickly.
