Is their COR bad or something?
Argh, I really wish someone would upgrade one. Curious about how it enhances QD.
My friend nearly talked me into it, but finding a shell willing to help me out would be too damn hard. And I need to get a few pieces of gear first still (Some HQ staves and Denali Legs for starters)
I suppose the offhand limitation thing is made like that so people don't "cheat" with a KC; maybe the game checks if you have Dual Wield 1/2 and not higher tiers so NIN main can still complete the fight.
But anyway NIN isn't a good idea as SJ since both Zahak and Balrahn's melee hits are quick (latter one depends on the weapon I guess) and hit for 20ish with defense food and defender up.
Then again the only way to lose this fight if you know how it works is to d/c during it lol...
Last i checked Fiendishone was all about Samurai and had a kick-ass corsair (but hardly used cor)
much like Tizona here doesn't get to use his mythic![]()
this fight has me scared for when i do it on summoner. i was thinking that smn/nin would be my best bet, with garuda holding hate and curing me. anyone got an opinion on how viable an attempt that would be?
well if you could ask palemoon lol if pet can tank then blm is probably your best bet, for the warp home lol, no really its a pretty easy fight. . . nin or sch would probably be a fine sub regardless. you have enough time to buff in between modes. But in all honesty i'd probably sub whm or rdm.
personally i'd grab a couple of remedies for hydra and sub rdm.
You might consider going /SAM. If you can keep hate planted on the avatar, the faster you can get it over with the fewer resummons you'll have to deal with, which is always the hard part for SMN soloing. I'm wondering if he'll leave his avatar out... if so that makes resummoning even more complicated... you may want to have Thunderspark as a backup plan to get hate on multiple mobs + paralyze them.
He doesn't match your job, he just hits you with your weapon. so he won't have a pet, and to re-assure you he doesn't have a pet , there is none in the dats.
the only true question is, does he ignore pet hate and always melee character.
After all the only reason he is really there is to feed you TP lol.
And I'm sorry Fiend i can't hear you over "Your Uncompleted Death Penalty Yelling "Should have done BLU" at you.
If the fight is so easy that you're not suposed to lose, why they make you waste your item in the event that you dc mid fight?.

SE is also making a statement that they cannot tell if someone DC's accidentally or purposely(like if they're imminently going to lose). In order to prevent players from taking advantage of the latter, they basically code it so that DC= automatic loss/forfeit. In a way its not fair but in the grander scheme of things they don't want you to keep to force D/C when you're about to lose and get a free second shot. This is the case with every kind of BC/ENM/ISNM/KSNM i believe.
Maybe they can adjust it to have a 3-5 minute grace period that if you DC, the zone remains reserved for 5 minutes if nobody is in it before it becomes a neutral state again. Sorta like Dynamis?
What I'm saying is that you can't possibly lose -unless- you crash/dc. Basically, they are just punishing the wrong player.
Destroying the BC when no one is in the area is understandable, removing the item when they enter is not.
If you don't destroy the items when you enter, you can keep trying indefinitely.
Oh i'm about to lose, i'll just DC myself and try again.
That will happen if you remove the items upon completing. Basically, it comes down to infinite tries or possible hosed on DC. square went with what stops the game from being too easy
On a personal note I think for Mission BCNM and shit like this mythic fight, Loss of key item on Win is reasonable. But i think it would require coding that square is "too lazy to do".
