we've been farming them with a full group and getting ~47k exp per mob. also gotten random blue/green/whites to sell for a lot, its not too bad. we kill relatively fast so i dont mind grinding it out there

47k is not bad at all, that coupled with the random drops and the gear it gives that can prob take you from 40 to 50 is well worth it. I heard a few reports though that if you have quests in the area for other drop items, you have to finish those quests before the mobs drop the items needed along with hair for the gear.
