It really is a very sweet little cat--probably one of the coolest I've seen. This is a bad picture from a bad phone camera. We picked it up and threw it on top of a night stand in the bathroom where there was decent light. She is a very, very, very dark brown. She looks black unless you get right up on her. Cats like her can either turn jet black once they're older, stay the same color, or fade more towards brown or a flat shade of black. Kind of a craps shoot. There is a tiny, little tuft of white hair on her chest.

She doesn't mind getting picked up: ever (unless she was trying to eat, then she keeps staring at its food like an animal should). She's always extremely calm, unless you incite the kitten in her. She then behaves appropriately. Once you're done playing, she calms down again. She kinda has bulgy eyes in my opinion, but she's still young. She was a little thin when we found her, but she's starting to fill out slowly. I'd guess she's about 2.5 months old and probably wasn't outside for more than a couple of weeks, if that. Someone almost assuredly dumped her or it somehow managed to escape. The escape thing seems unlikely as she is deathly afraid of stuff like squirrels and stays within 5 feet of us outside, then follows us back to the door as soon as we start to leave her. It never makes a sound, ever. She is left alone about 8 hours a day at least, and seems to be absolutely fine with it.

She's been in his room for 5 days now, and hasn't clawed, pissed, or torn apart anything. I'm kind of amazed. It appears and behaves like it's healthy.
