I dont know much about sound systems, but theres this issue im having with a sound system.

It naturally needs to go to high volumes, as its used in a bar. the speakers seem to be in good quality and condition -

so heres the issue, If you turn it up, after a certain point the sound just drops out and you can barely hear it.

its hooked up to a computer, which is hooked up to a sound system (an amp?) which then hooks up to speakers. I was thinking it may be the wires just not being able to hold it, they actually look like power extension cables that have been stripped, but it may also be that the amp just cant output enough power. does anyone have any experience on this?

tl;dr I turn up the sound, after a certain amount it drops out
