    Getting refunds on Ebay?

How hard is it to get your money back on ebay if someone doesn't hold up to their end and ship the item or if its not in the advertised condition?

I see a good deal, but this guy has no feedback whatsoever but the deal is so good I figured I'd give it a try. Looking at a wii + and like 3 wii motes for $120ish

Report them. I think on Ebay you're insured up to $200 bucks if the person reneges.

I never do online transactions unless its with paypal. Anyone who always comes to me for questions regarding online transactions, I always just say paypal.

If they take your money without delivering the product there's nothing paypal can do.

Best bet is to pay with Paypal using a Credit Card.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

When you report someone to paypal, if they rule in your favor, all they do is put a negative balance against the seller.

If you pay $100, they get the $100, take it out of paypal, then close that bank account. You'll never get your money back, they'll just be a -$100 balance on some scam account. Paypal never gives you money from their own coffers, if they can't get it from the seller, you never get it back.

Strangely enough, "buyer protection" only works if you bought from a legit seller who might have a balance.

I haven't used eBay in a while, but I'm pretty sure that if the payment is maid via PayPal through eBay, the seller can't receive the money until the buyer has left feedback. It works very differently than just issuing payment to someone through PayPal not through eBay.

thats why i fucking love wells fargo. had some faggot internet company charging me $16 a month after i cancelled because apparently you have to cancel 4 different levels of account service(I just used the cancel now button), and even after the account was inactive for 3 1/2 years they said that my access to their service was still grounds for charging me $16 a month. talked to a banker, had papers filed on monday afternoon and had $15 restored on every month ($1 service fee was kept, but idc about that too much) on thursday morning.

Not true, you just can't take out payment until 5 days or until delivery confirmed is sent from a UPS/USPS/Fedex/DHL tracking number.

You can either stall, or send them a certified letter with nothing in it(the best scam tactic as a note).
