Why do most/some women's pants have no pockets...

It's quite annoying when some of the pants I have don't include pockets, do the people who designed these pants designed for form over function? Do they expect us to carry a handbag or purse everywhere we go. I need just 1 pocket to carry some keys, but no... no pockets on most of these pants I have... WHY?

All of my jeans have front pockets, and it's usually too difficult/uncomfortable to use the back pockets (if the particular jeans have them) anyway.

Yeah I know but the one I'm wearing, it's TRACK PANTS for like just around the house, exercising whatever, why can't those have pockets, it's useful if you run to the car downstairs or grabbing the mail so you can put keys somewhere....

Purses are better than pockets. Carry more stuff. Lots of useful knicknacks and so on. Wallet, keys, makeup, tissue, comb, notepad, pen, tampons, sunglasses, glasses case, contact lens case, contact lens fluid, chapstick, extra panties, allergy pills, tylenol, camera, extra batteries, etc, etc.
