Lupe FTW
only guy out atm thats worth a dam.
When I listen to Lupe, I get in the same zone that most of Nas' Labels/Underground from 97~2003 did for me. It's like he's essentially a clearer, less grimy, youthful, and nerdy version of Nas. All that, and despite his struggles to triumph, he gives back to the community constantly in any way he can, instead of selling out and shit.
What are yous guy's opinion on T.I.? He is by far my favorite rapper and despite common beliefs I feel he is very intellectual
I like T.I. He's a retard as far as his actions, but he's a smart guy, well-laid lyrics. I like most of his stuff.
Personally, I like T.I. a lot. He like others really bring it from the heart (especially after his friend died in his arms). He just had a slow start from 99, no one was really feeling his music, despite being linked up with a lot of huge artists. Urban Legend is a meh album, but Trap Muzik is hot, T.I. vs T.I.P. was amazing, and King was so-so. I love Paper Trail as well, it brings a flavor that I've never seen in him before + crazy collabs.
I wasn't too happy when he beefed Luda, then came here and beefed Lil Flip, but he squashed it with both (and Lil Flip fell off now too so meh).
If I was to rate T.I., I'd give an A- Can't wait til he gets out next year to see what he'll bring out next.
i love the rubber band man because he is wild like the taliban, i also like the guy that has a 9 in his right and a 45 in his other hand.
i also like people that are kings and have bank rolls in the pocket of their jeans
O dont get me wrong, there are plenty of others.
as for T.I. hes ok cuz hes able to look at himself from the outside and see what image he protrays. Tho he still gets caught up in it and doesnt break out of the mold simply cuz thats not where the money is.
which alot of decent rappers end up doing, coming out as something new, but then just falling into the commercial safety zone of songs for 16 year old girls, aka (luda t.i. countless others)
Ive had that picture forever. I only remembered when Tyven mentioned Rubberband man.
Blame him.
Hah, don't even know what to say to that. XD
I'd give props to Kool Keith, but I don't think underground has any real relevance to this thread.
lolPapoose.
I like Papoose but he hasn't put out anything
Edit: Anyone think that Em fucked up Mariah and Nick in his song? Fucking beastly
serious jones?
