Football develops....just because the draw play worked in 95 doesn't mean its a solid option in 2009. I rather like it, but juts a point.

The draw either works on 3rd and long and the coach is called a genious, or it gets 2 yards and the crowd boos.

Tap your breaks, I'm not saying the draw is a bad play. Just that you don't build a running game around it, especially when your current running game fails at running anything that looks like a power run. It's all about keeping the defense honest, if we can't run out of anything else but a draw, what in the hell do you think they are going to be looking for? It fools no one (see: Ray Lewis, "Cowboys run the easiest offense in the league to figure out")

I agree with you, we don't have or need a power running game. We do need to use Marty B though, hes on the field 90% of the time blocking (which he does an awesome job of) but they are totally ignoring him for playcalling :> Where's the so called Beans and Rice package.

Holy shit...really? You think I believe we aren't in need of a power running game? Are you even reading my posts?

Take red zone offense: we are 7/14 in TD efficiency when in the red zone. That is just awful. Clearly a power running game wouldn't help at all though, let's keep running draws and fades because that's working.

Also, Marty B has 11 targets yet only 4 receptions. That looks more or less just like a 2nd TE's numbers to be honest.

Draw plays are still effective. CAR almost always uses a draw play on 3rd down and 30% of the time it works 100% of the time.
