Anyone else excited about this? I am only because now I don't have to deal with that retarded PSN "wallet" where you buy x-dollar increments and can never actually empty the damn thing, leaving Sony money you never really wanted to give them when the thing eventually shuts down. [Akin to closed accounts in banks (well credit unions. Our policy was that if your account was inactive (even a simply phone query would reset that countdown) for 10 years and we couldn't find a relative, the money became the bank's money.)]

Plus I love Amazon anyway. No company has been so pleasurable to deal with, nor has any been so easy to deal with for me. They're like a super-newegg.

Uh, or you could just enter a credit card on your PSN account and buy the items directly without having to deal with the "wallet" thingy.

If you pay during checkout on the PSN store you can pay exact amounts instead of having to add $10/$25/$50 to your wallet beforehand.

Isn't it set up where the amount taken from a credit card has to be at minimum $5 for a transaction though? Usually only a problem for those of us that grab small DLC bits like Rock Band songs, but whatever.

See, that little warning is what got me the first time I saw that. I knew the wallet would only take 5, 10, or 20 amounts at a time. I figured it was a copy-paste of the MS points system (which I hate so much.)

I see that to, atm for some reason i can't use my credit card on PSN to buy the last 2 fallout dlc had to buy a $20 PSN card, hopefully they will add more stuff and/or even add them same day it comes out.

they did a comparison on one of the video game blogs a while back comparing some of the amazon/psn prices. I think the general consensus is that PSN games, when they go on sale on PSN, are a great deal cheaper than amazon, but if the game isn't on sale you stand a better chance of finding one of amazon's small, yet noticeable discount on full-priced games?

I'm referring mostly to PSP game downloads but yeah.

Yeah, I have an Amazon.com credit card, so I get alot of Amazon gift cards. Pretty cool that I can use those to purchase PSN games now.

Amazon's pricing isn't tied to PSN's, they can offer sales just like they do for XBLA sometimes. I wouldn't mind picking up a few PS3 PSN titles if they have some nice deals through Amazon.
