Kaiten's drastically higher FTP makes it a competitive/superior WS if you can keep your pdif decent. That aside, amano needs more STP than a 450 delay GK to maintain 6hit, with full merits you need 16 from gear. Assuming the normal Rajas/Brutal/Usu, you're still coming up 3 short.. meaning if you're sticking with gekko you'll need askar or usukane body as well.

Coincidentally, Amano needs ~7 stp to match a normal GK delay!

Amano with rajas/brutal/usu body is 16.3 a hit, 17 with kaiten or usu feets, and 17.8 with kaiten and usu feets.

So you don't actually need Kaiten's AM to be on for a complete cycle, depending on your ws gear you may only need it on for 3 swings, so you basically need to get 7~8 attacks in 20 seconds to be able to alternate the two without having to create alternate gear sets

23% haste gear, marches, spell, and hasso would put you about 2.5 seconds attack round, so every 10 seconds you could WS and even with several misses or JA delay, you should be able to easily swap Kaiten/Gekko, without hasso it's 3.2 seconds, which you could still manage to do given an early DA.

I was assuming TP in Usu body and feet (54 sTP total), that would still allow you to WS in any thing you want (41 sTP total) and maintain your 6hit.

Which meant there was effective no need for Kaiten's aftermath.

Although, if you used Usu body, feet and kept aftermath up, you could use sword strap bringing your delay ~424 (and still WS in any gear you want) which would be an interesting prospect.

I never noticed Kaiten had such high fTP (never really looked until thorny mentioned it). I always thought it wasn't very good.

All of the above assumes rajas and brutal (just getting that inb4 some tries to be clever).

I've been away from the game for a good eight months, so you'll have to forgive my ignorance, but:

1. As a DRK, what accuracy should I be shooting for? In a bird party, and on HNM?

That's the only pic of my tp set that i have currently (acct was stolen, still waiting to get it back). Am I terribly far off from where i want to be? From my research it's looking like i need to get a cuch mantle, but anything else to reach my accuracy caps?

edit: don't mind the sub in the pic...was headed to campaign lol. I have /rdm /sam /war /nin etc etc etc.

Personally I aim for ~400-420 in normal TP.

Which will mean:
* Meat on birds, city dynamis, nyzul etc etc. (400-420 acc)
* Pizza on mamols, northlands dynamis (?), several bosses (440-460 acc)
* Sushi on some really evasive stuff (460-483 acc)

Looking at your gear you will be ~410 acc assuming full merits (~400 without).

Cuch mantle could be useful at times, but I doubt it will make or break you.

But then again, my DRK belongs in the gimp/confused thread, so I maybe wrong about this.

I'm working on upgrading Yoichi and I wanted some input as to the gear sets I should be aiming for tp wise and for Namas Arrow.

I know a few things which I need to get such as justice/pcharm, usu feet, bucaneer's belt, Amemet+1.

Is there anything glaringly obvious (which won't break the bank) that I should definately work on or think about working on whilst I work on my relic?

You can consider 5-hitting Soboro/Yoichi and look up the gear you'd need to do that. I think your WS build is pretty RAtk light for Namas, but I don't know what Ratk gear you could use on SAM so I can't help much there. I got Barbarossa's Moufles (CFGs-3 but for SAM) for a Yoichi friend and he was pretty happy with them, but I can't swear they're a good piece.

Also, don't use Pole with Soboro xD Use either Sword or Rose (if you're going for 5-hit).

For the record, I think this is a 5-hit with Yoichi:
TP - Rose Strap, Usu body, Brutal, Hachiman Kotes +1, Rajas, Ecphoria, Usu feet
WS - (Kabura Arrow), Rose Strap, Rajas, Usu feet

So you give up 3% Haste during the TP phase and give up 3 STR (feet) during WS. With the strong RAtk dependence of Namas fighting the near-uselessness of DA I'm not sure how effective /DRG builds would be, but it could be that the loss of Dusk is partially compensated for by Wyvern Earring.

I wouldn't pay more than 3 for em. Especially if you have a Einherjar shell, the paper can drop off T1.

Does anyone know if Herder's Subligar increases Automaton's ranged accuracy as well as melee? Would be very handy for PUP, but if not, I can put something more suitable on.

Even if herder's don't affect ranged accuracy, there is little other options until you get cobra, volunteer's, pantin, ASA, or usu. The legs give 5-12 accuracy, depending on which test you cite, which even if SS is split on melee/ranged for TP, that is more of a boost you can get from legs for master until the previously listed options.

Why would Kabura Arrow is Usu feet over Hachiman Sune-ate +1 since giving up 1 STP for 3 STR, and 3 WSACC.
