I just wasn't sure if there was any particular reason to switch, I don't really use special features, just looking for damage %s and hit rates, but if kparser was much better I'd look into switching over.

Kparser gives nicer detail since it seperates the different WS that each person is using and JA's and such.
So I'm a noob and never really thought about this before but...
What's the difference between Evasion+ and Evasion Skill+ ?
Because you need 7 STP instead of 6, and 3 STR/3 WS Acc looked like a reasonable trade for that last 1 STP using my limited knowledge of Yoichi SAM WS gear and not a whole lot of thought. Perhaps you'd be better off with Hachiman Sune-ate +1 and an augmented Atilla's Earring, I don't know. There's also some speculation that wearing two pieces of Hachiryu (Legs + Feet) might give STP+6, so maybe those two + augmented Atilla's would be better.
Gonna go test....maybe I can confirm / end the rumors.
Tested.
Annihilator with silver bullet /nin, only stp gear is hachi legs and feet. TP is 17, 34, 52, 69, 87. 2 pieces = 5 stp (If it was 6 stp it would have been 17-35-52-70-87)
Annihilator with silver bullet /nin, only stp gear is hachi body, legs and feet. TP is 18, 36, 54, 72, 91. 3 pieces = 10 stp (if it was 9 stp, it would have been 18-36-54-72-90, if 11 stp then 18-36-55-73-92)
How feasible would it be to do HB and PK in SSR as a trio, MNK + THF + RDM? What about if a BRD was added to the fracas?
I've trio'd PK + GG2, GG2 + CC, but never tried HB + PK and would like to know if anyone has tried that combo and how it turned out.
If a Paladin doesn't have Valor Cape/etc. for /nin. What is acceptable to use besides Cerberus? Is High Breath mantle even an option at 75?
How viable would this code be for using an oshi- set on SAM with spellcast?
Basically puts your oshi- set on whenever your HP is at or below yellow...I can see this affecting performance slightly due to things like AoE triggering it, but I'm kind of at a loss for a way to make spellcast do this. I know the normal idea is to just use an in game macro to equip it, but if I do that not only do I have to disable spellcast so it doesn't re-equip my engaged set, but I often times find myself forgetting the macro even exists..=\Code:<if HPPLT="75"> <equip when="precast|midcast|aftercast" set="ohshit" /> </if>
Well, that'd work, but you probably won't be happy with it, at least the way you wrote it. What if an AOE or something knocks your HP down just as you're pushing your WS macro? You want to WS in your ohshit set instead of in your WS gear? What if your HP is low and you try to Meditate? You don't want to swap in your AF helm?
I'd probably just do it on aftercast, if anything. It's probably never the case that you don't want to swap in the right gear for whatever JA/ability/spell you're currently using.
High Breath Mantle is ok, but suboptimal because it prevents you from swapping your backpiece at all. Providing you do have other gear, you'll probably want to put in Boxer's during your Ichi casting, maybe an HP cape for cure cheat, etc. Of course, if you don't have anything else at all to swap to, High Breath will do a decent job.
If you do have swaps you want to do, but you still want an Enmity cape that's cheaper than Cerberus, you could try finding a Toreador's Cape (make sure to only swap this in when you're doing an action, it's dangerous to idle in) or one of the new Kinesis Mantle (+1)s.
Evasion Skill+ is added on top of your evasion skill, and subject to the same rules as accuracy. Each additional point above 200 is worth *0.9. Evasion+ is like adding flat accuracy, and appears to be worth *0.5 'evade rate'.What's the difference between Evasion+ and Evasion Skill+ ?
Just think of it like hit rate and accuracy, only in reverse.
That wouldn't work in the way you would like it to. Your HP dropping below 75% won't trigger that on it's own, you would need to have <25% HP and then perform a subsequent action. SpellCast is passive and only does things when you do.
You would probably be best combining SpellCast with AutoExec for this. Have an oshi- set which locks some life-saving bits in, and then have AutoExec switch to that group if MP lower than 75%? Lot of hassle to setup heh.
Other person ignored the very good free option that doubles as a -mdt% piece when active, that being Resentment Cape. It's really to camp given you have the ToD.
Edit: Also I ideal in cuch, and macro in resentment since I don't own cerb, so macro resentment for flash/JA/cures/atonement/etc, and ideal in a DD cape, and shadows in boxer of course.
How I do reduction sets is with normal spellcast variables, such as:
Then I have my macro that will change the variable('//sc var set MDef 1' and such) then use Boost(just a random JA to reset).Code:<if status="idle"> <if advanced='$Mdef = 1'> <equip when="aftercast|idle" set="MDef" /> </if> <else> <equip when="aftercast|idle" set="Normal" /> </else> </if>
I use AutoExec for other stuff but I like doing my MDT/PDT- sets this way, then I have a 'normal' macro that sets the var back to 0 and boosts again.
I'm not sure if this has been answered but how do I request my pants for the new add-on?
Do I have to drop it, wait till JP midnight, and then go and get the key item, or can I just drop pants, get key item, and do the fight again in one day?
