What are the odds of killing Maat as RNG66 with 200 archery skill? Cap at 66 is 227, and as far as I understand, RNG Maat isn't too evasive, but I'm worried about SW's awful accuracy. I know it's doable, I just want to know if I should cap Archery before actually attempting him, in case I may fail miserably at landing shit.

Honestly, I think you'd be ok, but I could be wrong. That being said, if your EES misses, don't jump and blame your archery skill, 'cause that's how retarded rumors get started. You can miss at capped accuracy too.

Maat is level 70. That's effectively an 11 level gap between your current skill, and what it could be, so if you think you could beat him at level 59 then go for it.

I'm guessing that losing out on 5 archer's knives worth of accuracy is going to result in your hit rate being a tiny bit sub-par though, especially on Barrage.

Practise on an Orcish Farkiller for a definite answer.

This is a retarded way to look at it. 27 accuracy is the difference between HQ gear/food and NQ gear/food really.

Just hit 30 and I Taru, so would full timing Devotee's Mitts +1 be ok since I will do more debuffs with MND modifiers or should I swap them out when casting a debuff with INT?

Swap them out, not hard to do, every little bit helps, etc

Also plan on taking RDM all the way to 75 and the the sky farming deal, so would it be better to get Devotee's Mitts +1 or just spend 2k for NQ.

If you can't buy anything else with difference that would be a better upgrade, go for the HQ, you'll want them eventually.

There are pld/rdm solos but they're not for AH geared plds.

You also failed to mention if you had atonement or what type of AH gear you have; I took it to mean you're trouncing around in adaman legs, NQ AF feet, and a hauby(+1)

But even if you had perfect AH gear I would still think a lot of the pld/rdm solos would be tough. I could be completely wrong though so gl.

PLD/RDM without any sort of support is pretty limited in what it can do in my experiences, even with decent gear. I can't think of anything really worthwhile outside of Campaign or a couple of missions really, technically things like ODS are doable but you need some pretty heavy-duty gear for that.

If you wanted to test the waters you could do Simurgh.

You would need a dbox /whm or whm for erase but outside of that you could do it completely solo and see how it goes. I realize that bringing a dbox isn't solo'ing so inb4 hurr durr, I'm merely pointing out that it would be basically the same as most pld solos with elegy isolated(albeit less medicine intensive).

I've personally always wanted to try a VV solo but never really got around to it.

The old ODS vids were pre atonement, yeah? If so they might be a little more feasible for top geared sans relics plds.

They were pre-Atonement, but I can tell you from experience without shit like Aegis/D.Ring/Valhalla/etc those things are still pretty overwhelming even with solid gear. I have reasonably good gear and got my ass handed to me.

Going to go camp Xolawltl again soon and wondering what the lowest it can be done with, what jobs and how. Right now I could do THF, WAR or DRK and a RDM and fight it straight while kiting the skeleton adds. Is it easily done this way or do I need to add more people to get this done realistically? Also, can the THF just kite to Boneyard Gully and just keep rezoning the skeletons there or will they run back too fast to be gotten reliably like this and need to just be taken to the Maze zone instead?

You could actually duo it potentially, if your luck is good that is, and just have one RDM/NIN take the two adds and just run them really really far away and come back and nuke the hell out of Xolotl and then when the adds come back depending on who has hate just take the adds and run them again.

The only hard part about this as a duo is that if you get charmed during the day and only one person is near it it will depop. That is where the luck part comes in really.
