The "random" board, /b/, follows the design of Futaba Channel's Nijiura board. It was the first board created, and is by far 4chan's most popular board, with 30% of site traffic.[23][24] Gawker.com's Nick Douglas summarizes /b/ as a board where "people try to shock, entertain, and coax free porn from each other."[2] Certain post numbers are sought after with a large amount of posting taking place to "GET" them. A "GET" occurs when a post's number ends in a special number, such as 12345678, 22222222, or every millionth post.[25] A sign of 4chan's scaling, according to moot, was when GETs lost meaning due to the high post rate resulting in a GET occurring every few weeks. Moot estimated /b/'s post rate in July 2008 to be 150,000–200,000 posts per day.[26]
/b/ has a "no rules" policy, except for bans on certain illegal content, such as child pornography, invasions of other websites, and under-18 viewing, all of which are inherited from site-wide rules. The "no invasions" rule was added in late 2006, after /b/ users spent most of the summer "invading" Habbo Hotel. The "no rules" policy also applies to actions of administrator and moderator, which means that users may be banned at any time, for any reason, including no reason at all.[27] Due partially to its anonymous nature, board moderation is not always successful—indeed, the site's anti-child pornography rule is a subject of jokes on /b/.[13] moot told The New York Times, in a discussion on the moderation of /b/, that "the power lies in the community to dictate its own standards" and that site staff simply provided a framework.[28]
The humor of /b/'s many users, who refer to themselves as "/b/tards",[28][29] is often incomprehensible to newcomers and outsiders, and is characterized by intricate inside jokes and black comedy.[29] Users often refer to each other, and much of the outside world, as "fags".[13] They are often referred to by outsiders as trolls, who regularly act with the intention of accruing "lulz": a corruption of "LOL" used to denote amusement at another's expense.[28][30] Douglas said of the board, "reading /b/ will melt your brain", and cited Encyclopedia Dramatica's definition of /b/ as "the asshole of the Internet".[2] Matthias Schwartz of The New York Times likened /b/ to a "a high-school bathroom stall, or an obscene telephone party line",[28] while Baltimore City Paper wrote that "in the high school of the Internet, /b/ is the kid with a collection of butterfly knives and a locker full of porn."[13] Wired describes /b/ as "notorious".[29]

/v/ is video games forums according to a friend! I don't really do 4chan myself...
Just finished SMN burning BLU and I need some information on how to set spells for max damage and such... I just need info on cannonball in particular
Since I'm usually /war on sam, would 5/5 Third Eye be ok to merit? Or would 5/5 Medi still be better?
I think Thorny mathed out 5/5 meditate to add something like 1 or 2% total damage and as such yes, third eye merits are perfectly acceptable.
I'm not a SAM main but in my experiences as /SAM, I'm always riding my Third Eye timer down to the second, I'm almost never riding my Meditate timer down the the second(many times saving for post WS/Feather Tickle). I don't think I'm the only one who is like this, to me it seems like the benefit of Meditate merits would get wasted somewhat often.
Its a bigger extra damage than ~2% for zergs, otherwise thats accurate. Should base the decission on what you use your SAM the most for. If you low man or use it to tank a lot of things TE merits should be useful, if you only use SAM for the DD aspect of it and zerg or do short fights with it a lot, the extra WS will be nice. If its a combination of both, none of them are really game-breaking or an universally better option than the other.
What kind of a zerg lasts more than 2 minutes, or am I missing something here?
3 minute zerg(to get a 2:30 med used and use all tp from it), SV buffs, angon, feint, soboro+bow:Originally Posted by me
60 attack rounds @ 2 hits each with 6hit, ~18 WS from melee if you have a lot of spillover
Sekkanoki+ stored 300 tp = 2 more
meikyo = 3 more
meditate = 1.6 more
24.6 vs 26.2 WS.. 6.5% damage increase ignoring soboro melee
Besides, zergs that last long enough to meditate twice are being done wrong..
I would do that more but g/f gets mad if I 2box her without her getting any XP, lol.
Looking to clarify something on Slow II: Do additional merits actually increase the possible slow cap, or just reduce the amount of dMND needed to hit it?
You available?
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll go with 5/5 TE since I find myself tanking or pulling hate most of the time. I usually get stuck on other jobs when it comes to zergs.
Thorny's warrior sucks, why would you want to get with that guy? :v
Can bind be broken in the same fashion as shadow bind? On a few occasions I've been told "I'm gonna be mad if you break bind" and I was like huh?
You mean by doing damage to the bound mob? Sure can.
Ah, learn something new every day. I thought that was specific to shadow bind. I know I've been bound and attacked plenty and it didn't break >.>
