Using EM crabs in Boyahda Tree, which are Lv75 and have 96 VIT and 366 DEF, you can calculate your base damage exactly and then use the recorded damage to backsolve for pDIF. By repeating this experiment at various player DEF levels, a picture should emerge of how player DEF corresponds to pDIF on Cannonball.

For example, the one I've done so far was 110 casts with 366 DEF (my DEF = crab DEF), which I reported about here: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showp...postcount=5497 In that run I used 86 STR and 80 VIT, so STR-(Crab)VIT=-10 and fSTR=0, 292 skill so D=67, and WSC = 68. Since all casts were without CA, fTP was 1.75, so base damage was 236.

I would have liked to try my def at 1.5x and 0.75x crab DEF, and if possible 2.0x and 0.5x as well. Also, be mindful of Scissor Guard, Metallic Body and Bubble Shower, but if you are just casting and sleeping between casts as I was (A friend on RDM was helping sleep and keeping me refreshed and hasted) it should only use 1 WS or so per mob.

Been gone a little while so I won't be surprised if this came up elsewhere and I'm just behind the times, but I'm getting blank messages for auto-translate. If I do it in /echo, I get the opposite effect: I get the text but not the brackets. What's the cause of this?

It's a random glitch with windower; you're going to have to restart when that happens. I sometimes get the same thing (or a similiar glitch where it displays the same moonspeak phrase for everything). It happens to me pretty much everytime I DC and relog.

In addition to the above poster, Auto-translate in /echo does not normally have brackets at all (at least with Windower, not sure sure about w/o Windower), just tested.

Considering buying a Lu Shangs with my fiancee and a friend and all of us leveling fishing between us. Is there a parser you can run to check on your 200 cap or do you just have to count on your own?

Lu rod is definitely worth every last cent, it allows you to catch any fish anywhere relatively safely. As for the fishing fatigue question, you will notice a large increase in the delay between casts (you must wait longer to repeat this action) as you approach the cap, and once you are at the hard cap you will simply get you didn't catch anything over and over.

I don't know the answer to your question but I can tell you piercing weak has nothing to do with hitting 0's if I recall correctly. The 25% bonus is calculated afterwards, so if you're hitting 4's on a neutral mob you're hitting 5's on an identical piercing-weak mob. Zero times 1.25 is still zero, though.

I have experienced both. One of my perma bans resulted in the POL ID not being able to be logged in to POL at all, the other was simply them deleting/banning one specific character from the POL ID. Not sure why.
