Is slugwinder a fixed amount of -racc, or a -%, or is it just... all other ranged WS get that single-hit +ACC thing, except slugwinder?

I've lately been trying to augment a lamia bow with +hp/mp, but all i've gottan so far are resists and junk stats. Now, I've heard rumors say areas like VoS will be more inclined to give mage oriented stats, sky give more melee oriented stats, etc. So the question is: have any augment-NMs been conclusively proven to favor certain stats, or is it all "shits random"?

from what i have heard slugwinder is suppose to be a "-40 racc @100%" that coming from 3 different people who have rng and are decent at it. Granted i have no clue how you would test for that but that is what i go by feel free to correct me if that is wrong.

Far as other range WS i don't think they get any acc bonus, but i only used "other" range ws while lvling rng sub so lol

If somebody wants to set the conditions for the ideal test, I've got no events to do for the next few weeks. I'll even try to figure out Martial Gun's bonus, if I can. It has to be stuff I can do solo, on COR or THF.

Find a monster your accuracy isn't capped on and that you can discern through /check the different levels (so that you only perform the test on 1 level of monster), record your accuracy in gear and your accuracy against target (will require a large sample size of 1,000+ /ra). Do lots of slug shots in the same gear at 100% tp and subtract your accuracy from the accuracy of your ranged attacks, multiply the difference by 2 and that is the accuracy penalty. Obviously don't use martial gun or any JA/food thats going to affect agi or racc.

All martial weapons give a straight bonus of 100% tp so you could work out the accuracy bonus for 200% by using martial gun at 100%

The Synergy and Evolith system has been out for a little while so I was wondering if any consensus has been made on the Ebon Coat and it's overall usefulness versus Weskit, Morrigan's, Redingote, etc. There's really nice evolith's available including ice and thunder magic critical hit rate+.

Is it still to early to tell if this will be a good nuking piece or will it become yet another situational piece?

Where can I find a blank animation .DAT to use to replace regular job ability animations? Currently I use "Merit Point!!!" .DAT to replace most of my JA animations because that doesn't hinder my char's movement, but aesthetically it's not the most appealing to look at.

I've heard mention of an animation .DAT to replace JA's but couldn't find it anywhere. I'm pretty sure Mooshywooshy has excellent solutions but I don't think they are uploaded for the public.

You would need to perform these tests either all at exactly the same range, or all under the effect of Sharpshot so as to eliminate the effect of distance on your ranged accuracy.

    Here's my random question:

Why do the mobs in an astralburn stay on the puller instead of going after the SMN that astral flowed them?

if you tossed af+1, can you reset the AF quest, get the nq again, and then trade it in again for another +1?

I tried and it doesnt seem to be accepting...

Two methods, I'm partial to the former - either the puller picks one target that isn't going to end up dying as quickly(such as a ghost or the gigas NM, in the case of Korroloka), or the puller rests to end up on everything's hate list, followed by spamming barspells, self-curing, or what have you.

Well, Im sure it doesnt go after the SMN because you never actually assault the mob so all the hate is only on the avatar and when its gone, all hate is gone.

So if you have Ramuh use Thunderspark on a group of Bloodsuckers and they turn and kill him, they forget that the SMN exists?

Pretty much, I think it has to with the initial hate not being on the SMN its self but on the puller. The SMN never actually did an action on the mob as I believe the game has the BP as an action the avatar takes.

Wrong, as usual. The BP itself is a targetted action, but only the mob the SMN targets with it has hate generated. Any casualties, so to say, were not directly acted upon by the smn and will just lose hate entirely when the avatar dies.

The one you BP on will know the smn exists. I've frequently used this trick recently when popping ignamoth or farming peiste pellets with THF + SMN:

    1. THF pulls placeholder and links 1-3 other mobs
    2. SMN thundersparks placeholder, also hits other mobs
    3. Ramuh dies, placeholder goes for SMN or THF, rest depop

It's pretty basic, only the mob you target with a BP has hate generated.

Referring to AB in particular, the puller NEEDS to rest and generate hate on all mobs or after the avatar dies all mobs will depop. The standard method of making sure the BPed mob does not kill the SMNs is to cfh something significantly higher level than the rest of the mobs in the area and build hate on it, all BPs target that monster.

People have used this to deaggro links in exp parties and the like since before ToAU. In a summoner burn, using a CFH'd mob that the holder has cast dispel/etc on a bit allows you to assault with no risk. Otherwise, if you try to BP while out of range, it has the effect of assaulting the avatar (and sometimes it's hard to tell the exact range with that many mobs there).

But ya, pets have their own "party hate" or something, and when they die, the only thing that have hate on the owner are things the pet was told to attack, basically. This is true for both beast pets (that accidentally roar at a Colibri camp say), or summoner pets (using Ramuh to delink mobs!).
