Looking to do the Spiral Hell NM in a bit, saw somewhere saying that it was soloable, but didn't really give much detail, is there a safe spot to pull it to and/or kite it around? The whole area of DoR where you pop it is pretty nasty in terms of being crowded with aggro iirc...
My old LS was planning to try it years ago (2006?) but not sure if we ever got around to it while I was offline or w/e. We were one of the first if not the first to TP burn Horns of War (KS99) and thought we might be able to do something similar on KB. Should be somewhat easier today than it was back then. Just have a designated kiter or back up party in the event of a wipe. I'd like to see KB tp burned. Think DRing is 100% drop if KB doesn't run over 110.0 distance. Ready. Set. Go!
I think it's based off SC properties, like WS gorgets.
What's the cap on enfeeb magic skill? I remember hearing awhile back that anything over 330 skill won't have any effect.
I don't know o: Just something I heard a very long time ago. Something about it being similar to BLM 320/120 rule or whatever. I don't quite remember it that well since it's been like a year.
For warrior is it worth it to put more than one merit into Tomahawk? My war is primarily used for Einherjar, so hopefully anything I'm chucking an axe at is going to be dead in 30 seconds anyway.
Are there any "myths" or whatever about mining? E.x. facing north during windsday while /clapping to get better ores? Something along the lines of all the rumors about certain things affecting crafting and such..
I'd disagree on that one, it does have some practical use (Jailer of Temp, a good portion of ein mobs/bosses...). Even if you think its useless, what else are you going to merit? Are you Takedown, meriting Warcry...probably not which renders Savagery to a pretty useless state, as is Aggressive Aim, unless youre trying to shoot Acid Bolts with your D Marksmanship >.>
5/5 Savagery if you macro in AF2 mask is +50TP bonus to all melee in your pt for 45 seconds. If you're already playing WAR and meriting T2 there's no excuse to not use AF2 mask for a macro.
For zergs, einherjar, dynamis, and a lot of other shit +50TP bonus per WS for you and everyone in your party is pretty awesome.
Also, I do have 5DA 2zerk 2agg 1wc until I get another 70 100 bynes when I can switch to 5/5 zerk.
5/5 Savagery definitely makes sense, but I don't see why it would be a bad idea to fit it into the remaining 5 T2s available.
5 WC 5 Savagery imo.
I did 5 WC 4 Savagery 1 Tomahawk. Neither maxing out savagery nor at least unlocking Tomahawk will make a big difference.
If you're in a Einherjar shell, you should have at least 1 Tomahawk for special mobs. Anything that can slow your group down such as Flans or Slimes (ESPECIALLY SLIMES) are worth having Tomahawk for.
In a wave of 10-15 mobs I just don't see 1 tomahawk on one mob being worthwhile, let alone a noticeable increase.
Edit for real question:
Where can I find a static source of magical damage? I know I can use cactuar for PDT but is there anything that can nuke me for the same damage over and over?
I was thinking troll rangers but I don't really know?
Make sure the other WARs merit Tomahawk and you get its effect on even more mobs (And can even get a second round in if you don't happen to kill those mobs in three min). Whether it be something as simple as tier one or as tedious as tier three, there is a chance that you'll find DMG resistant mobs. The ability to do normal damage on these mobs and cut down on the kill time exponentially is much better than 10TP WS bonus to a WAR and 5TP bonus to PT members (If I'm reading Wiki correctly, this is how it works).
Basically, when these mobs are in play, it comes out to:
25%/50%/75% more DMG
v
10TP or 5TP WS Bonus
You could argue that these mobs are not guaranteed in every run, but on the other hand, I doubt you can say your runs are contingent on that extra 10/5TP WS bonus. You know well enough that the TP bonus from that last merit will only serve to get slightly better WS SSs.
