Soloing JoFaith w/COR.

I'm having issues getting space between us even w/hermes sandals. I have blink macros and what not, and I can deal dmg to him with few resists. . I just can't get distance. Any advice?

If you solo Jailer of Faith on COR(or any job for that matter), I'd love a write-up on exact strat. It's essentially impossible. Most people talking about JoF cor solos are referring to Jailer of Fortitude. Faith is a relatively easy duo for 2 competent RDMs without zoning, or RDM + BLM or SMN with zoning.

Yeah... I'd imagine you're talking about Jailer of Fort. A friend of mine on another server was interested in attempting a duo on Faith, which we never got to do.

Even a duo can get incredibly messy, but I'd imagine with a WHM its possible, with hermes/crimlegs.

I mean faith. I thought it was possible by just kiting w/movement + and such. I got him to 95% w/out problems, but if he stops casting for any long period, it gets too dangerous.

It has movement speed +25%. If it petrifies you, you're pretty much fucked.

Edit: I don't think it's possible. I just can't get distance on him. Around the pillars I gain slightly, but he catches up immediately. I'm just gonna say this has to be Duo only.

Oh, thought you meant Fort too because I'd never heard of solo Faith. Might be possible if you're really lucky. He wastes time changing forms and casting, but single target nukes are the exception rather than the rule so it's kinda dangerous to stop when he starts casting.
Might as well try. HQ Euvhis are easy to get. The only thing you're really losing is a little gil and xp.

It would be really weird if he was referring to Fort, as it is incredibly easy to outrun with 12% movement speed. Also, being lucky enough to not get petrified and owned seems very unlikely to me, even mastering the kitting around pillars and such.

As for the RDM + DRG Antlion's Clothing question, not that the sub for DRG matters, but I'd go as /SAM.

The rdm should be more than capable of keeping up with healing on their own so drg/sam.

I know Savage Blade > Atonement is light, and KJ > Atonement is, so KJ > CA CB should light too.

Now, I don't even have Blu unlocked that I recall, so forgive me if this is ridiculously stupid to ask, but would CA CB > KJ be light?

tl;dr Can a chain affinity spell open an SC, or just close it?

99% sure it can open as well. It's just often used to close because it consumes BLU TP.

You can open with CA Spells. I don't know about the specific example, but in general yes you can.

it opens and closes, I've done fusion off savage blade > disseverment > atonement/drakebane/kasha few times.
