Let's say you're out as a DRK/DRG. Let's say you're using Tredecim Scythe as your weapon. Now, let's say HYPOTHETICALLY, you attack something 12 times then Jump.
Does that Jump critical?
I agree though til parse done to show edge for the latter, I'll stick with the former personally, I wouldn't use full ares mostly likely anyways though boots too much attack to give up for some DA, also assuming you could use wyrm's acc on non-crit set it should beat warwolf since better slots to get str really and also I'd post my sets if my photobucket was up.
Can anyone confirm the NIN/RDM solo of BCNM50 Treasures and Tribulations? Can't find anything else supporting this outside of a certain wiki, but would like confirmation before I spend 50 seals
What is the order of best Gaxe's for merits/HNM/dynamis etc at 75 for warrior?
Like bravura > ??? > ???
For merit-party style meleeburn events:
Bravura > Super Hot Augmented Kheten > Perdu Voulge > Less awesome Kheten
* Rune Chopper fits in there somewhere, but where depends on how much Haste you have and how good your Haste gear is. For some people it fits nowhere, for some people it's right below Bravura.
* Fortitude Axe is also in there somewhere, depending who you ask. Personally I'd put Fort below Perdu.
* Erlking's Kheten has a theoretical maximum Augment of DMG+6, STR+5, DA+2. D97 (98 with the +5 STR) and 2% DA? That's hot! Even if you don't get perfect augments you'll still probably end up with something better than Byakko's Axe. I'd be unsurprised if you spent more going for a perfect Erlking's Kheten than you would going for Bravura.
For HNM WSing:
Bravura ~= Martial Bhuj > Highest damage GA you can find
* 300TP Steel Cyclone with Bravura is obviously going to outdo Martial Bhuj. Metatron doesn't get a pDIF bonus though, so if the monster's DEF is high or your buffs are crappy you'll be using Steel Cyclone anyway and Martial Bhuj has a pretty substantial chance to beat Bravura.
So go augment a Kheten and then start assaulting for your Perdu Voulge. Perdu beats most Khetens and is "free", but a mediocre Kheten will beat most AH/Byakko's GAs. Like, what augments would a Kheten need to be a Byakko's Axe? DMG+3, Atk+5. You can probably get at least that in 5 tries.
What's the consensus on Dune Boots for TPing; Yay or nay?
Been currently using them longer, drawn-out fights and Fuma's for shorter fights (Nyzul and the like.)
Obviously casting utsu in fuma's, but that's besides the point.
I recall a thread in the old standard showing fumas > dune.
Depends on what you're doing. Hassoing with a DNC? RC > Bravura > Fort > Perdukheten unless you have all of these: v.belt, dusk gloves +1, dusk feet +1 and you don't TP in fucking askar hat, then both Fort and Bravura beat RC.
For the rest of the events it's probably:
Bravura > Fort > RC > Perdukheten. When mob TP is an issue, skip Fort (and change job to SAM or so :3).
"Perdukheten" = Perdu or a good Kheten (high DMG, and some DA) depending on your hitrate.
I saw some augmented bangles a while back equipped on someone running in Dunes that had 3% haste, and MNK could use them. So if there's a way to cap Haste without using fumas, probably Dune Boots wouldn't be so bad. I'd take Vegetto's word over mine, however.
EDIT: It was a screenshot someone posted in the media section. I didn't see the bangles myself, personally.
or as I like to say, garbitch
Fuma beat Dune when you don't have any haste whatsoever.
And I fixed the dusk feet +1. 78.5% haste versus 80% haste can be overcome by Bravura's higher DMG and triple procs (or Fort's thingything) but the haste of the competition shouldn't be much lower. 78.5% to 80% haste is already a 7.5% increase in damage. This can still be overcome by Bravura's triple, lower delay and higher DMG. 77.5% (for instance, no dusk gloves +1 or no blitz ring) is already a 12.5% increase in Chopper's favor and that's much harder to compensate.
Just showing why RC is the best DNC+Hasso GAX unless your Bravura WAR has perfect haste gear.
Yeah, you guys are wrong, but I couldn't possibly be more bored with this argument and the real argument that underlies it.
