YouTube - NIN solo ENM 75 Holy Cow
He did it on NIN/THF with some questionable gear ('sup fulltime Osode). My friend once tried to do it with better gear and most likely a better head on him, and said the guy in this video got really lucky. Apis has poor accuracy and generally slow attack speed if he's not in a certain mode, but he can hit like Tiamat on crack. See:

That was a double attack with Protect IV, Phalanx and -47% PDT. He took my full 380 Stoneskin with one hit during the Ichi cast before and then one-shotted me. If you have good gear and are able to play without making any mistakes then I'm sure you can do it fine on NIN/RDM, just need to be careful and be prepared to get unlucky from time to time.
How about NIN/DNC? I'm sure this would be a better combo unless I'm missing something.
Awesome thanks for the information. I remember a similar video (maybe the same one) back when there was that other video site around a few years ago (D6 or D9 or something), but I guess I should have known to check youtube for it as well <_<
@Onorgul: Yeah, dunes don't beat fumas. I don't understand how can you possibly argue and say we're all wrong without backing anything up.
@Thorn: Thanks. Personally it was just an observation, and I had never personally tested any of that out.
With all that being said however, I'm curious. For TPing, Fuma or Usu feet for MNK?
EDIT: Without full usu.
Capped ACC-ish, Fuma. Uncapped ACC-ish, Usukane. Do the regular cutoff thing for hitrate vs. haste depending on how much haste and hitrate you have prior to feet, and keep in mind Usukane are better than that cutoff point by a bit due to STP and ATK.
Do Haste and Double Attack have any effect on ranged attacks?
No
Anyone know a WINDOWER macro line that would recreate the ESC Escape Key?
ESC macro line? That's unpossible!
Probably possible with non-SE macros?_? (wouldn't know)
Leveling RNG to 37 for a COR sub. I'm thinking of just plowing through it solo w/ a PL if possible.
Questions:
1. Bow vs Xbow vs Gun? (Trade off if bow is better at lower levels vs me having to skill marksmanship. Have crafting mules to make applicable ammo.)
2. Worms still the best way to do RNG? If so, where do you go and when?
3. Are COR rolls from a 75 gimped in anyway for a lowbie? (I thought there was some way they were gimped like a low cor in a higher party but I can't remember.)
Thanks!
1) Acid Bolts
2) Starter city, Valk-burning, Qufim-burning to 37
3) Corsair's and Hunter's Roll won't be, but Chaos Roll is just a % increase, so it won't be anything special coming from a level 75 COR
Just curious and I haven't paid a lot of attention to it because of 2hr timing and stuff... Can you force fly jorm/tia/ouryu?
See, this is why I'm not arguing the point anymore. Hell, I said to use Fuma Kyahan (or Sune-Ate, as though there's a meaningful difference), but the moment a whiff of dissent is smelt, it gets turned into exaggerated nonsense. There's no incentive to explain the point again when I was doing it about a different problem just a couple days ago in a different thread. If I wanted to boil it down to a point that you might be able to grasp, it should be an extremely marginal situation and, what do you know, I said to use Fuma Kyahan regardless. But, noooooo, speak against the hivemind and people just lose it.
tl;dr version: Onorgul doesn't like math.
At 0 Haste, Fumas beat Dunes. Period, end of story, the math has been done and done again by many different people and the result is clear. Fumas are slightly more valuable in situations with unusualy low WS frequency, but even if you're not WSing at all Fumas win provided you have at least 12% Haste elsewhere. Black Belt covers this on its own, Brown Belt + Walahra Turban covers it, etc. There is no viable situation where Dune Boots beat Fuma save for a Footwork-Dragon Kick, when you would still be using Fumas to TP in - back to the original question. This isn't some hivemind bullshit, it's basic math. If you want to present non-viable situations as a case for Dune Boots fine, but be clear that they are just that: non-viable situations.
At least have the decency to support your argument if you're going to present a differing opinion, good grief.
That'd be nice if I did present a differing opinion.
