Is there a problem with the Amphipteres in Xarc (S)? Ive been walking under them for the longest time but they wont come down for shit.

Anyone know why or have a workaround?

That's what im thinking, none of the ones in Xarc (S) wouldn't agro at all. The ones in Beaucedine (S) would normally though.

Would like to know if it's an across the board thing or just bad luck / terrain issues.

Duelist's Tights: do you have to cast the spell in them or is it better to use warlock's for the +enhancing (or mahatma for the chr!!). Need to keep them on all the time for enhanced spikes? I assume the damage and added effect are enhanced? Or does no one really have any proof either way?

You get the enhanced effect while they're equipped. Cast in your standard set, then swap.

Quick edit: Dmg goes up by a couple points. I've never personally noticed an increase in proc rate of added effects.

I've soloed Demonic Tiphia on DRG many times. DRG/RDM has very high endurance if you have Wyrm/Saurian Helm + Ethereal Earring. If you really want to be careful, bring one refresh item (Though I've never used it).

A few hints and facts:
- The fight can last FOREVER. I've had the fight run up about 1-2hrs. At this point though, he tends to run out of MP, and it's much better to simply bring a friend over or hope he uses the one hit sting.
- The items I mentioned are a must. They're the sole reason your MP:Cure ratio will let you endure this fight.
- Be mindful of Sleepga II and having Spirit Link up. Do not waste it curing your wyvern since spirit link is generally essential for sleepga II moments.
- DO NOT keep inventory full in case he hits you with a certain 1k+DMG TP move.
- I found Penta to work MUCH better than Drakesbane as far as DMG is concerned.

Not following the logic here, can you explain? Especially /RDM, a particularly bad Final Sting could spell death and a full inventory would go against the point of killing her (unless you consider it an achievement just to make the kill, I guess).

You still get the items if the sting kills you.

I'd say Asuran if you don't have a PCC/A. I don't remember the exact accuracy it gives, but I believe its 10.

Definatly plan on it, I have enough for one or the other right now, just cant decide what to get first. I have pcc and moogle ws head for mnk, I just want to know which will benefit more, even if its only by a slight amount.

Get the gorget for the job you play more. I'd probably recommend for Guillotine, but if you only play Dark Knight once a week but Monk every day...

What is the strategy for Ob with 3 maybe 4 people?

All I know is that if someone in the party is pup or /pup it's an easy fight but which frame should it be locked in? Do you just gravity and have blms trade nukes then?

If you have a Puppetmaster (main, idk if something /PUP will be equally useful) you can easily trio, maybe even duo it. Valoredge is easy to tank but doesn't take much damage, Sharpshot is harder but takes a lot more damage, so whichever of those works depends on what is happening.

In my LS we had PUP/NIN RDM/NIN and WHM/SCH, PUP and RDM meleeing and co-tanking, he's really not hard.

can be soloed as rdm/nin. even easier if you bring a pup to switch it to rng form. last time i did it he even overloaded. He's really really easy even without it being in rng form though.

Edit: you may also be able to solo it as rdm/pup. His ranged attacks aren't bad. just be sure not to overload since they may hurt with it in overdrive.
