Not an answer to your question but even if they were, w/ their low dmg, high delay, and the fact that even if they were piercing damage, it wouldn't apply to WS DMG, I don't see these stacking up to any of the higher end h2h. Though, they may prove useful in lower level colibri, if they are indeed piercing.

I collect Rare/Ex Hand-to-Hand weapons, Vegetto, so I'll be getting them eventually. If I finally have a piercing weapon on Monk, that would be awesome, even if I'm not going to use it on Greater Colibri. They might get used about as often as my Vampiric Claws (next to never, but they helped doing a new Shantotto mission), but that's ok.

Although it's highly unlikely I'd ever sync to a Lesser Colibri party on Monk, on the off chance I did and these were piercing, though, I'd imagine they would beat out my Retaliators by a small margin. On Greater Colibri, yeah, piercing damage during the TP phase with these would probably at best come close to Destroyers, probably performing about as well as Indra Katars or some other old school top-tier knuckles.

They seem like pretty damn good Lesser Colibri H2H if it's true. And if they're piercing MNK has all three weapontypes for TP, which is purty decent.

So for leveling NIN from 37 to 75, am I correct that gearing for Evasion = lol(except maybe when recasting shadows, and only if there isn't -PDT for that slot)? Also, TP in Hauby like a smart PLD while leveling?

I don't see why unless you are leeching, able to get into pts while not tanking or fighting EP mobs.

If you are tanking VT-IT mobs, I find it to be very effective to evade attacks, especially from 40-54 when ninjutsu does a lot of damage (relative to katanas.)

Just me tho and I can't wait to hear of better ways to do it.

Unless you're in a party that can take a mob down in literally seconds, Haubergeon is probably not going to be the piece to full-time. I have used it once or twice, but it was only on Lesser Colibri and synced to 60 with a trio of aggressive and heavily buffed DDs. Losing 30 Evasion from Scorpion Harness really hurts because it isn't completely impossible to evade mobs.

I hate asking such a vague question but assume the player has 'solid' gear for each job. If they come rng they would get brd songs.
