Alright, I did exactly this, and I'm running into a problem.

POL loads up fine, update went through no problem, but when it tries to launch the actual game, it gives me the FFXI-9001(-1) error for invalid installation path. I've triple-checked the reg entry and the path is definitely pointing to the correct location, so I dunno what it's throwing a fit over here. Gave me the same error with windower and without.

So I've always gone with the belief that double attack [both trait and brutal] have no effect on stuff that occasionally hits x amount of times.

Was browsing lolwiki during a pt break and came upon this article:

It says confirmed that double attack does stack with this, but I'm skeptical. Joytoy is already a near (if not) 50% proc rate so right now i'm not bothering with brutal on my COR. Any truth to this or is this as baseless as "THF last hit for extra TH"?

So wait, the article seems to claim that you can swing 9 times with a k-club or 3 times with a Joyeuse, which I believe is wrong? (Maybe PLD with Joyeuse and Homam Corazza can . . .)

I've always understood that "Occasionally attacks x" weapons can have their "Occasionally attacks x" or a DA proc on their first hit, but that the two are mutually exclusive. So if it is going to DA because it's a Joyeuse, it doesn't have a chance to also DA because you're wearing Brutal. However, Brutal still increase your DA rate because in situations where you don't DA because Joyeuse "Occasionally attacks twice" you can DA because of Brutal.

So, for instance, for WAR with 5/5 DA and Brutal:
Joyeuse, 45% proc rate normally
55% not-proc rate, 20% DA rate -> +11% DA rate.
So you'd end up with a 56% DA rate on Joyeuse. It doesn't matter what order you apply the buffs in.

I mean, someone correct me if I'm off base here, but that article seems misleading at best and purely wrong at worst.

Has anyone here bought the Ultimate Vana'diel collection and could enlighten me does it come with 1 registration code that covers all expansions and mini scenarios or is there a separate registration code in it for each?

Reason I'm asking is me and my husband still don't have any of the 3 mini scenarios (long story, swore we wouldn't get them until both of our security tokens arrived and SE fucked around for over 6 months...) and $19.99 for the Ultimate collection would be cheaper than 3x$9.99 to get them each separately.

When I bought the Vana'diel Collection two? years ago, it came with 1 registration code for ALL expansions. I highly doubt that would change.

Maybe dumb question, but was it ever proven one way or another if the elemental grips affect non-Elemental spells, e.g. Ice Grip for Bind or Earth Grip for Elegy?
