This probably sounds like an odd question but what kind of accuracy do people aim for in their main TP builds. I know the caps for Merit Mobs, but what about for all the other events in the game? Obviously no one can make sets for every single mob in the game so I was wondering what median accuracy do you aim for, an example would be: do you warriors that use it in your LS use Blitz Rings at events or is that a merit only item because you need the accuracy?

On ACP body piece I am not sure thats best augment for drakesbane, though Aurum Body would beat any augments if u do ZNM,
Legs Ares, Askar, or Aurum good improvements for legs, or even AF+1 if you can't get those.
Hollow/Pixie ear over Assault, if enough dex.
Feet would need aurum, or heca to be improvement.
Besides things that sometimes better that's it[like 12 acc/4 att belt over warwolf, ares/amir boots over marine, acc ring over flame, or etc].

That I know, but I'm 36... there's really not much you can do @36, especially with my limited inventory space D:

Well yeah, a lot of it doesn't really become possible until you're 50 or so, but you can still have separate MND and INT sets, at the very least. The INT set isn't as useful as the MND one, but you can use it for nuking when you're bored in an East Ronfaure (S) party with 2 PLs, and you'll be glad you have it if you ever need to sleep/bind/grav a link.

And again, are you really making the argument that casting shadows is the make or break in a chariot fight? Experience and expertise have a much higher influence than casting shadows.
A retarded chimpanzee with a pair of byakko's and a turban could tank any chariot to a fruitful outcome on any melee job. I was arguing which job is better.

    Hypothetically speaking, of course.
Get a couple stacks of bloody bolt quivers or sleep bolt quivers or both and spam them on robber crabs until ~170 with sushi and r.acc gear. At 170, move upstairs to steelshells. Don't forget signet and to engage for yummy defense thing :3

I'm not sure which way you're going here, but utsu will cost you more damage if you're using it. 6 seconds of casttime used every ~24 seconds for the sake of estimate is 1/4 of your damage lost. For a standard salvage setup, you're getting march min haste for 27% magical haste and 21% gear haste on SAM.. going from 48 to 58% haste is a 23.8% increase in damage. For a merit setup, you're getting double march(and hopefully chaos or mins too but irrelevant to this) and comparing ~60-70 haste in which case hasso is a 33% increase. They're very comparable, seeing as such a slight change in situation changes which one costs you more. This is all irrelevant though, as it's not seigan vs utsu in a vacuum and gekko's pdif boost is very noticable on chariots, particularly AC.

First of all, 6 seconds of time lost casting Ichi? You don't cast spells very often, do you? You're locked out of certain activated actions, but your melee delay is not interrupted for even the full duration of a spell cast, much less for 2 full seconds after it.

Secondly, casting Ichi every 24 seconds? Are you crazy? I put up Ichi when I've just recently cast Ni and then gotten hit with Discharge/Inertia Stream/what have you. I cast Ichi maybe four or five times during any given Chariot.

6 seconds casting ichi and ni each cycle, not 6 seconds on ichi alone and while hybrid tanking with only ni is acceptable in some groups, the vast majority of people are stupid enough to ichi every cycle

Soooo... you're claiming that Samurai is better by assuming that the Samurai knows his job and that the Monk is a mouth-breathing brick? You're not good at making cogent arguments, are you?

So ? What do you mean by noticeable ? Do you break 1k average, no. You do like asuran fists, 700-800, period. It's not an advantage.

Who cares about ichi. Yes ichi lowers killing speed, therefore you don't use it. Here is how you kill a boss :

get a rdm that cast slow II, paralyze II, blind (yes), and not a slow/para II in full AF.. keep your merit rdm in your moghouse, bring real gear.

if you got a brd elegy
    double march
dia III (+25% dmage btw, except for SAM..)

The result of this is a boss that is litterally unable to act, and whenever it acts, it's countered 75% of the time or evaded. Ni>Ni, with a brd, is the only way to go. Ichi is irrelevant. I swear I spent 90% of the fight shadow less. If you can't play monk, come as another job.

I typically cast Ni 10 to 15 times and ichi rarely, pretty much only when i'm in difficulty (AOE > double attack for instance)

Did you read where I said it's not in a vacuum and the people dragging ichi vs seigan into a huge argument are going off-topic? Without exact defense and evasion values for chariots it's rather difficult to prove either is going to be overall better damage, but using the same 2 players on SAM vs MNK I kill significantly faster with SAMs. After the bullshit you spewed all over the faith vs destroyers thread, you're not really in any situation to make cheap shots with nothing backing them up on this forum. And yes, in general I assume MNKs use ichi because the vast majority of players(even on BG) are complete and total idiots.

@Pchan: Congratulations, you've told me things I knew years ago? You sure showed me.

In cases where skilled players argue against one another, generally it's because the difference is small enough that their own personal experiences contradict thanks to the quality of players they deal with. In my opinion, the argument for MNK+SAM in Salvage has nothing to do with the boss. You do MNK+SAM in Salvage for three reasons:
    1) So you can make Darkness with Asuran->Gekko.
    2) SAMs can use Polearm, and Polearm > Gears.
    3) Because multi-75 career melee get emo when they have to come one job all the time.

Personally, as a RDM I always liked MNK+MNK. I didn't see SAM's damage boost to really warrant it, and I could afk more if we had two MNKs! The goal of Salvage is secretly to optimize AFK time!

I do SAM+SAM not mnk+sam Primary reason was for reliability on AR 5f and Bhaf 4f with 6 people, piercing bonus on gears and ability to meikyo arra ramparts(minimizes summons) makes for more consistancy.

Argument in LS today about something. One person (not me) claims they earned 41,000 XP per hour at the Ley Point (not sure of level, let's assume like 57). PT setup was RNG RNG RNG RNG COR BRD with outside PL. I said there is no way that is possible. Is there any way that it could even be theoretically possible?

I was under the impression that even merit bird camp is capped theoretically at like 36k an hour.

It's not theoretically possible at 57, chain 5 is ~280 x 14 birds = 3920 exp x 10 repops/hr(roughly, its a 5 min to 5:30 repop but pulls won't be instant) = 39200 exp. This is assuming they killed mobs all the way down hallway as well as all pops at leypoint, which just plain isn't going to happen. I can't be assed calculating damage per second capability of those jobs, but they're lying.
