Hilarious. Yes I totally get sarcasm, and now I have 10 posts. Thanks!

Neither option is wrong, and I should have phrased better. Seigan is your primary(and often only decent one) method of self-defense. 1/6 off meditate timer results in 1/5 more meditates over time. Now, while always engaged, a well equipped sam will be around 11-18 seconds for 100 tp with 6hit and haste gear(450 delay = 7.5 secs, 5 hits to 100 tp after ws, ~50-70% haste, whatever change from DA) or in best case scenario for meditate merits, 9 ws per 3 minutes. Meditate makes it 10.6(assuming you always get 160, i'm not a sam but iirc it fluctuates between 140 and 160 depending on timing), now adding meditate merits changes that to 10.92(1/5 increase in meditates over time). 10.92 / 10.6 = 3% increase in ws damage, multiple by tp:ws ratio.. it's not a very big change in overall damage. If you're higher on the haste scale(and i think 50% is about as low as it's gonna get, given you use hasso sometimes) then it's even less.
I'd put 1/6 off of my primary defense mechanism timer miles above ~1.5% damage, but it is a choice. If you're in a shell that frequently brings far more people than needed or like parsing competitively, you may get more mileage out of meditate merits.
More than arguing, I was really just looking to use that post as my "coming out of the closet" mark with my love of all things Thorny.
This is more account related.
I am an NA player that relocated to Japan for work about 2 years ago. While I maintain my accounts using a US credit card, I'm interested in purchasing the 2nd and 3rd mini expansions here in Japan. According to my Japanese contacts, many players use the WBM system of pre-paid cards and access the Direct to Drive downloads through the Playonline site, and not their playonline window at login.
Being an NA account, is it possible to for me to purchase the 2nd and 3rd expansions using the WBM system in Japan (Japanese Playonline site) but then register them with my NA account? Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.
There are no downloads involved in the add-on scenarios. You just purchase them with the credit card attached to your account, through POL itself like you would extra content IDs. If you're asking about COP and Treasures of Aht Urghan, I have no idea.
Imagine you had every gear imaginable:
What the single best QuickDraw setup be?
Auster's | WindGrip | Death Penalty | Steel Bullet???
Maat's Cap | Ugga. Pendant | Novio | Moldavite
Denali's | Hands??? | Breeze | Breeze?
Back??? | Waist??? | Denali kecks | Feet??
1. 2x Breeze?
2. Back, Commander's cape?
3. I think Obi's right?
4. Feet? I got nuthin...something that cor can wear with MAB? or just more AGI
Thanks ^^
p.s. How is Cor's ACC on lightning horsey? With pot-au-fe, and some Racc roles w/ rangers around i imagine it's doable???
Thanks again!
i'm coming back after about 7 months away, where is there a good amount of info about augmenting items? I looked through that other wiki and couldnt find the page for it.
Maybe you can find something useful here:
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Field_Parchment
To view possible results and figure out what items seems to be a good idea to augments and which dont, look at the Augmented Items thread in the media section, although most items there would be either very good/lucky or terrible. Most tries net irrelevant stats.
nice, thanks for the quick response.
talking about dmg quickdraw i take it...
from best to worst
Head: Corsair Tricorne+1>Corsair Tricorne>Maats cap tricorne adds straight dmg to QD
Body: Mirke w/ m.atk -quickdraw recast > Denali > Corsair froc+1/antares harness > corsair froc
hands: Rover gloves m.acc+3 agi+3 from the nm Barbaric weapon (0/3 now myself...)
legs: nimues tights for straight dmg but denali has m.acc and agi
feet: corsair bottes+1 > corsair bottes nq
back: commander cape or anything augmented with m.atk or m.acc
rings: breeze>omega (i use omega myself to save inventory)
waist: obi if day/weather > scouters or anything augmented with m.atk or m.acc
neck: Uggalepih pendant > hope torque > that new agi 4 neck
114 dex -.-
Any items that I'm overlooking that'll get me to 117?

Zhak not an option (how often I use drg, totally not even close to worth half of the gil it costs). Nlegs not really on option either (unless 3 drop in ejar, I'm the 4th). Was thinking of getting af+1 hands, swapping from heca to those. Still leaves me 2 short. Don't have an HNM shell though, so pixie also not an option here. -.-
Nvm ffxiah counted rajas as less than 5. I'm exactly at 117.
What is the typical delay for monster attack rounds? (looking for a number or estimate like: 288, 492, etc...). Specifically concerned about Funguars. Thanks!
240
Could Sarissa (DMG:96 Delay:507) ever beat Valkyrie\'s Fork (DMG:95 Delay:492 \"Double Attack\"+3% \"Store TP\"+3) if it can\'t have stats added to it?
~1% increase in DoT due the higher base damage
~3% reduction in DoT due to the higher delay
So ignoring all the DA and sTP you are all ready ~2% behind the V.fork.
The only thing the Sarissa has going for it is an 'easy' 6hit (needing only 22sTP for a true 6hit), so you could full time any 0 sTP body (Ares/Homam/Z.mail etc).
There is also the option to use a sword strap to bring the delay down to ~492 and, but then you lose 2 DA or 4 sTP.
I think the only time that it might beat VFork would be with Wyrm Mail+1, Rose Strap but I\'m not sure even then.
Assuming no Hecatomb, what are the best hands/feet for Rampage on BST? I was thinking either Skadi or Rutters for boots (no Aurum either) but I'm completely stumped on hand equip.
